I would like a nicer looking resevoir because I am all about looks. Possibly a better pump too. The water block is high quality in my opinion. All in all it is very nice as it is and my temperatures are running about 10 degress C cooler.

Does it run better on its side?

After procrastinating for the past few years, I took the big leap and got myself a case that didn't cost $30 shipped. You can see below that I went with the black Tsunami Dream case from Thermaltake with the side window, 1x80mm fan, and 2x120mm fans. I didn't make my decision before sitting there and pondering over where I should get the Tsunami or the Antec P180 for almost an hour, and the biggest reason I chose this case over the P180 is that I was afraid of denting the aluminum covering in on the P180; something that happened to my friend when he had his rig shipped down to Florida over the holidays while school was out.

I also went ahead and grabbed the Scythe Ninja with a 120mm Antec fan, a 250GB Western Digital SATA2 HDD w/ 16MB of cache (WD2500KS), a tube of Arctic Silver 5 (was using AS3 up until today), and a 550w Antec TruePower PSU. All of these goodies were ordered only a few days after I received an eVGA 7800GT w/ the copper heatsinc (thanks dad :)) and threw in eVGA's NF41 SLI motherboard.

The HDDs you see in the pictures are arranged as so: the top two are WD800 80GB SATA1 drives running in RAID0, the third drive down is my 250GB, and the last drive is a WD800 ATA/133 drive that I'll more than likely end up using for Linux and/or to test Vista 64 with. The wires are arranged so that they aren't touching the bridge fan, the undersides of the HDDs, or the videocard, but they are a bit of a mess in the pictures because I was having a problem getting the 120mm fan in the front and the front lights to cut on earlier.

Digging a little deeper, I'm running a 3000+ Winchester @ 2256 MHz. with the VDIMM set at 2.85, the VCORE set at 1.550, and the memory timings (2x1GB Corsair XMS) at 3-3-3-8. The videocard itself is running at stock speeds at the moment because I'm trying to figure out why there are artifacts in CS:S and Guild Wars (I think it's the PCIE clock, but that's already running at 110 MHz, so I'll just have to keep playing with it).

Are you having any issues blowing hot air from your oc'd processor right on to your graphics card?

No because the fan is blowing up, not down. The way I look at it is the fan in the front is pulling air into the case, the bottom fan is picking that up and pushing it through the Ninja, and both the rear fan and PSU are pulling the hot air out.

Oh, and I guess the side fan just helps to blow more air on the Ninja. :)

In case you're wondering how warm I'm running, my idle temp is between 23 and 25C and my load temp doesn't exceed 37C.

how is the overall build? is the front panel made from aluminium/steel aswell ?

I'd like a case that is solid and I wouldn't be afraid to kick once in a while :p

after srewing around with the paint called up a local company that powder coats can
get this case and my other one done for around 150 us

jakindle looking good.

I want to paint the inside of my Xaser III case, I'm going with a Red/Black style (red neons etc etc) but I dont know if I want the motherboard tray Red or Black, Red would make it more stand out, while black will make it more stealthy sorter thing.

Just got to get the money to do it :( .

seems like you should paint the mobo tray the opposite of the case interior; so for example, if the inside of the case is red, paint the tray black, and vice versa. if your case exterior is mostly black, you should up the main interior red and the tray black, IMO, and also do the same to your drive cages, to sort of balance the effect. that'd be pretty spicy.

I have a XaserIII case.....I don't remember a MoBo 'tray' or do you just mean the whole side of the case? Flat blacking the inside is so hot, I did it to my brother's PC, looks good, told a friend to do it on his armor, looks hot, gonna do mine once the modding begins in a few weeks.

inside flat black = the new black

yes, I am obsessed with it

Most self-etching I have ever seen looks ghetto. Custom laser etching looks SO much better and is flippen cheap

Suggestion. Have Hyperkore do your windows (at least one part) with a black out laser etch. That would rule.

Yes I meant the whole side and since the motherboard is on it I just called it an Motherboard Tray.

I may paint it a Shiny Red, I have seen what flat black does look like inside and at first I liked it but now I don't.

I just have to get some money and time to do it though

oh and I dont have the original harddrive tray in it I am making a custom set.

Just a quick tip to you all that want to tidy up there wires a bit more. all you have to do is turn your harddrives round the other way so then the connection is at the front of the case and the wires arent visible when looking through the window.

hope this helps.

btw does anyone have the thermaltake big typhoon as there cpu cooler. does this get in the way of the fan at the back of the caes?

cheers.
