Anyone else have some full screen video problems with 66.93

Yes, see my reply in your thread. No clue what is causing this. Have searched other forums and seen nothing. Everything was fine before 66.93. Now all full-screen video is borked.

    Odd movie problem....

I have the same problem. All video does it, full screen. eVGA 6800 GT, LCD monitor. Only upon installing 66.93s does this occur. No clue why. I have heard of one or two others as well with 6800 GTs. Games play just fine.

Any Reviews on Gainward 6800 GT?

I've noticed some issues with Gainward concerning their 6800 GT but it still looks quite attractive to me. I had originally thought to want an X800 Pro (preferably with a custom cooler) but have since decided that the 6800 GT is the way to go (Xbitlabs and all other benchmarks point to its...

NF7-S - Suddenly no option to select 2400+ (User defined only)- RAM unstable

Which BIOS did you flash from and which BIOS did you flash to? Are you sure you used the right BIOS? Did you flash with a modded BIOS?

    AN7 or NF7-S

NF7-S. But it can depend. AN7 offers slightly better sound codec, I believe, and slightly better stability/performance at 200 FSB. However, if you want to go over 200 FSB and don't want a bunch of useless haggling features (AbitEQ, uGuru) then go with the NF7-S. AN7 doesn't really offer...

    abit nf7-s help

Over at the nForcersHQ forums, people have been buying the AN7 and reporting similar problems with AbitEQ. It seems to be a fairly useless program. It's incorrectly detecting your CPU fan RPM, or whatever the fan is at, it's too low for the program. People have disabled it/ignored it. An Abit...

    Thermaltake Smart Fan II problems...

TT Smartfans usually do well. But, yeah, return it. It's bad, most likely.

    Which HSF?

Your assumptions are flawed... while Thermalright may be discontinuing a heatsink (which one? they have like 5 different worthy models), the price surely won't drop. The SLK's (900 hasn't been discontinued yet, maybe this is the one?) are still great coolers. SP-97 and 94 are great as well. So...

    NF7-S vs. NF7 .... whats the difference?

As long as you purchase from a decent retailer, you're gonna get the 2.0 revision. The only differences in the board are SATA, Firewire, and Soundstorm are not in the NF7 version. They overlock the same.

    Prime95 Q

Uh, yeah... of course it's safe. Run the Torture test, if it fails, then your system isn't rock stable. The only risky thing about running Prime is that you'll put the maximum heat load on your processor... if your cooling isn't up to snuff, you'll have a reboot/crash on your hands.

    Is this memory any good?

PMI? Pft... spend your money on a decent brand. The timings on those sticks are horrific, irregardless of the fact that it's PC3700. Good brands: Kingston, Corsair, Mushkin, Twinmos. Then OCZ, Geil, rate next, depending on your motherboard. Then brands like Crucial, PNY, Kingmax etc. It...

    NF7-S MoBo

Yes, that's good RAM. Kingston needs to be "K2" model to run on the nForce2 chipset properly. OCZ, Mushkin, Twinmos, Corsair, Kingston are all good brands to put on that mobo. Steer away from Geil.

    abit nf7s

You have to install SP1 before you install the nForce2 drivers... there's some sort of conflict with applying all the patches after installing the drivers. So, if all else fails, reinstall the drivers, maybe requiring a removal of all the Windows updates.

    Thermal Paste/ Heat pad??

Well, basically, it's too late. 1) It's fine, esp. if you don't OC. Heatpads are fine for stock coolers on CPUs running at stock. However... 2) Heatpads are designed to melt and fill in the crevices of heatsinks and not come off. They are wax. So it'll take massive cleaning when you put...
