GHOST S1 - When both size & performance matters

The standoff feets aren't that high, so I would think bottom airflow is too limited to really get a benefit out of anything more than a small tophat; or even the small one might not be worth it.
Louqe are going to test taller feet soon, to see how much of a difference it makes to temperatures. If it does make a significant difference, I think they said they'll also include a set of taller feet for free.

I was thinking about this, Louqe could offer a tophat which could be used to elevate and make it raised/elevated at the front and rear of the case. Then could have mounting for fans or 2.5" drives underneath.

Great idea! adding it to the add-ons list!

Magic! How big are they, would it be a good ide to send them our last sample?

As I've understood it, Computerbase is pretty huge in Germany, not sure if it's the largest but it is apparently very popular. Non-Enligsh though, but Germany is a large market.

Although I welcome reviews, I think you have to ask yourself 2 questions

1) how much benefit will there be in sending samples to non English reviewers?
2) How useful is a German review given the campaign is almost funded?

If you look at your current kickstarter statistics your biggest customers are from these countries and by far number 1 and 2.
your in country support is fantastic and maybe also part of the Sweclockers exposure.

1) USA
2) Sweden
3) UK

So if you want to expand on the international market, its best to search for an reviewer which has a large userbase in either locations and has benefit of reaching English speaking people in general. I think you already gained a lot of new backers due to the JZ (pre)"review"
and again think it would be bad if you send to these German guys which only reach German buyers as for sure I can give you fifty more reviewers all known in their countries but useless if you aim internationally.

LinusTechTips, HardwareCanucks, Bitwit, Gamers Nexus or even Not From Concentrate (NFC) would be a good idea.

(LinusTechTips is the best choise, but idk if they will be able to make a video before the Kickstarter campaign ends)

+1 For HardwareCanucks. These guys are great at production, English speaking and who doesn't like Dmitry?

Already said that they wouldn't review it due to being pre-production

I wasnt aware of HC & LTT pre production policy, but they are kind of right...

Idk if Gamers Nexus, Bitwit or Barnacles have some similar rules, but i guess they would be nice candidates too.

Anyways, i hope that JayzTwoCents release the video of the build soon and i bet that the pledges will blow up after that. (if everything goes OK)

About to place a pledge for this case, looks quite amazing from all the previews I've read and watched. Might have to sell my Dan Case V2 once I receive it, since I've been planning on using an i7-8700k but temperature results don't look promising in the A4-SFX without certain compromises (such as de-lidding.)

Question: I'm interested in the Limestone flavor...will it come with an option to have the top mesh cover also be the same Limestone color? I really don't like the 2-tone look with the black cover. IMO, the case looks much sleeker being only 1 color.

All good points, however, Germany is the biggest market in Europe and we expect it to be our second largest market after USA over time. My impression is that Germans prefer to read and watch things in German so it is an important opportunity.

During DreamHack we threw on a stainless steel gril on top of the limestone to see the reactions and it definitely drew more attention and frankly we love it.

We will discuss all the color options during the live stream on Sunday and we are hoping to throw in another (personal favorite) in the mix!

Haha, next thing you'll be saying there will be a neon option

I´m from Germany and can tell you that if you have one sample, it would be a good idea to send it to Computercase.

Regarding my idea for the holes in the back to add an external radiator......just take a look at the back from my NCase M1 http://www.ncases.com/ and you´ll see what i meaned.

-H1N1- would you say Computerbese is a better bet than PCgameshardware?

Kaktus who at "Die Redaktion" would best be contacted there?

http://www.pcgameshardware.de/Team/

Thilo Bayer might be the best choice cause he ist managing the whole Team and can possibly redirect your mail if necessary.

But was not quite shure if CB oder PCGH would be the better choice. I researched some numbers of "Daily Visitors" and -H1N1- ist right... CB has ~870k Daily Visitors (1.1 Million Page Views), PCGH has only 430k Daily Visitors (860 Page Views). These Numbers are from https://www.wolframalpha.com/.

Maybe that helps a little bit to decide :)

If you choose CB then [email protected] would be the mail to write to. (Maybe put [email protected], "Max Doll" in cc cause he wrote the article about the Ghost on CB). :)

As you probably know from my earlier feedback, I am all about same color, so no two-tone. A black top on white or grey would just not work, I would need uniformity.

I think your impression is accurate as far as Germans go, as for longer term plans, are you guys also considering to partner up with German retailers like Dan did for the Dan case (Caseking.de?) These guys also seem to produce nice product reviews of things they sell. Also I hope you are right about the German market in general as SFF is still a niche and Dan being German, potentially already saturated quite a big part of the German market? His V2 version sold less to local market then V1 and the US really showed as a big grow market for Dan

Trigono (owner of CaseKing DE and Owerclocker UK) approached us during DreamHack and we will be meeting with them in a couple of days when the dust has settled. Definitely considering a partnership with them.

Good info on the German market, will need to feel this one out!

Pachalski could you give us the dimensions of that Graphic Card Bracket? I think about the possibility to put this little badboy there: https://www.caseking.de/lian-li-pw-ico1nh45-usb-3.1-typ-c-i-o-port-fuer-pc-o11-pc-8fb-geli-770.html

:)

I think you are referring to what we referr to as the GPU cover plate... what you screw onto the back ones the GPU is in place to cover the opening above it. This
has been redesigned to be a “slide down” on the inside of the case.

A similar slide down cover plate will be added to the side of the motherboard (where the sticker currently sits) that can be used for different custom mods, external radiator connectors, IOs etc. this will be easily replaceable and an ideal part that can be 3D-printed or dremelled to fit your specific needs. I’d recommend to put that USB there.

This will be even more awesome! :) Can't wait to build this little badboy!

Goal reached \o/ we should still keep advocating more pledges, Louqe has such an extensive lineup of revisions and add-ons I'm sure a larger userbase puts them in a way stronger position in negotiations and planning.

Here is our current list of add-ons, anything else you see we need to add?

Add-ons Short description

Pedestals TopHat with side cutouts to elevate the case and house bottom fans
Verticle stand Stand solution that makes it possible to place the Ghost vertically on it's back for a small footprint
Handle TopHat TopHat with integrated carrying handle
Vented glass side panels Side panels with tempered glass on stand-offs to reate ventilation passage
Non vented Glass side panels Side panels with tempered glass integrated (flush) into the side panel for WC
IO TopHat (gable) Tophat with integeated HDMI and USBs in the front/back
ODD TopHat (gable) TopHat with integrated ODD slot for slime drives
Colored grills Multiple optional grill color options
Joiners Tophat that joins two Ghosts together with ventilated sides

Later we will need your help prioritering among these projects. Preliminary prio chart below.
