The [H] Post Pictures of your ManCave

Gotta love CL. I found a nearly identical rack to that last year for $50 but it didn't have any of the sweet chassis you've got. Well done.

Thanks guys, maybe before too much longer, I'll be able to post in the Storage thread. I still need like 6 more TB though. Alright, no more of my clutter, back to the man caves!

that is an awesome score... I never thought about putting a rack in at the house, but now that we have a real garage it might be an option.. mega media server type deal.

a couple of night shots with the new lights.. kinda washed out looking.. oh well.

The cat sleeping space is hilarious. I'm reworking my desk set up right now and I know that I'll need to leave a couple of high up spaces clear or they will be cleared for me...

Love it man!

the earliest GPU I have is my eVGA Geforce 7600 GT, then it jumps to my BFG (miss this great company) 9800 GTX

haha... thanks all.. I spent a lot of time in night clubs and wanted a man cave that had the same lighting... I think I almost hit the nail on the head. It's funny though, I used to kind of think those people with all the boxes of the 3dfx products (and stuff) all over were crazy.. now I am one of them. doh! ;)

hey revenant, could you post some shots of your tj09?

Sorry for the late reply here... been ill with some crazy virus that has been kicking my butt like nothing I have felt in a while.. ugh. I'm installing a new fan controller (kaze master) in it this weekend and will take some glamor shots afterward. :)

PS: Arcygenical - love the sub covering :)

Those are gentleman speakers indeed.

Ironically, I'm not much of a gentleman.

Why thank-you Rev :) - It was a 4.88$ Fleece blanket from Wal-Mart. The sub is downfiring and padded so my female friends can sit on it :) See above :p
And your work is top-notch as usual.

Thanks... Doom was the shit.. still is. I fire it up with the doomsday engine now and then.. even works at 5760x1080 just fine.

I think I am going to frame the unreal mural also now.. those two other look so nice with the frames.. I need one more smallish old school game poster to fill in on the other wall and I think the walls will be done. :)

'

I had never even heard of the DoomsDay Engine! Downloading it now! Looks pretty awesome!

and Agree Doom is still the shit!

It's pretty cool... I replayed the UAC DEAD .wad recently with doomsday... what memories. :)

I bought another doom poster, this one with the guy on the hill with all the creatures coming up and signed by all the ID people at the bottom.. 24x32... going to replace the GrindHouse poster with it. :)

edit: got my unreal poster framed and a doom3 poster framed and tucked into a corner...

(lol @ shot of the open Frankenstein monster's mouth from Van Hensing - I have my HD DVD player hooked to the middle display)
(the motherboards on the wall are a little off - might need to tune that up eventually but they're fairly close to even)

loving the lighting and color change themes.. Olivia Wilde in TL is so hot.. :) Awesome stuff!

re: tamiya, I bought it assembled but have since rebuilt it many times. the 3 speed tranny was a lot of fun to put sealed bearings in. but the directions are soooo good. it's a little intimidating but actually fairly easy to build, just takes a lot of time cause you want to go slow and careful with these.

EDIT: got my other doom poster framed finally.. whew. I think all the wall space is gone now. :p

got my test bench area under way... the room just didn't feel complete without the test bench area.. right now the board is just screwed to the cabinet under it but I am going to do more work with L-brackets.. it doesn't need to hold too much weight but it needs a little more securing underneath..

It's a towel.. I dried the towel in bounce so it doesn't get staticy at all. I like it because things don't roll away, like screws and drivers etc... when I drop them they stay put. I use anti static pads under extra sensitive stuff always.

edit: lemandarin just gazing at your setup again... you have some amazing style. so clean and colorful.

ouch... I used to howl over the rectal thermometer my mom would use on me when I was young...(sorry, tmi).... but(t) that looks just downright frightening. ;)

LoL! A buttplug big as this and without handful is reserved for the difficulty level "Legendary" ^^

LOL.. ok.. now back to more man cave talk. :)

I got power to my test bench area last night... I hope to build and test my X79 platform there this weekend.. and do other manly stuff.. like watching football. :D

lol I bet.. you could literally open a gpu and motherboard museum.

Yeah I've probably owned nearly as many motherboards as I have CPUs. It's also hard to separate out which ones I've owned vs. reviewed sometimes. There have been just so many. I do still have a number of CPUs but that is only a fraction of the number I've owned in my life. And fortunately CPUs don't take up a lot of space.

Some nice looking mancaves. Had to give up my "mancave" when we found out a baby was on the way. It's now a nursery for our soon to be in March.. ;)
