The [H] Post Pictures of your ManCave

Simple setup, still rocking the mx518 nice!

Thank you.

I love the MX518. I actually never had one first time around, but I did have a G5 and a G500, and I loved them both until I completely wore them out. I bought one of the relaunch MX518's when they came out a couple of years ago, and loved it too (but I thought it was too light, so I opened it and added some tungsten putty to weigh it down a little). Then when they went on sale I stocked up. I have like 5 of these MX518's in sealed boxes I will open when each wears out, so I never have to buy a mouse I dislike again :p

When you find an accessory you like, stock up if you can afford to. Because trends will change, and you may not always be able to replace it. I wish I had a closet full of backup G500's

Cool wallpaper, you have a link by any chance?

Sure do. Its just this SVG from the wikimedia commons, but I grabbed the SVG, rendered it at 4k, and then inverted the colors, as I prefer dark backgrounds.

I can see if I can upload it somewhere if you want the finished product, but that is easy enough to do yourself I think.

The sad part is, the one stored on wikimedia used to be clickable, so you could click on each of the biases on the wheel, and it would take you to its wikipedia page, but that doesn't seem to work anymore, which is unfortunate.

Thank you.

Yes. The leather Steelcase Gesture with headrest. The end game chair.

Eh, wasn't a fan of the seat cushion. I'm using a leap v2 now which I'm not entirely thrilled with, but cushion is better, as is lumbar support as it's actually adjustable. I wish there was a leap with headrest and a bit more padding on the seat.

I'd take my Herman Miller Aeron chair 100 times out of 100 over any "gaming chair" :p

He didn't mean it's a gaming chair. Steelcase Gesture and Herman Miller Aeron are similar level office chairs in regards to quality. They are end game chairs, no more upgrading etc.. buy it for life. Buy once, cry once. But yes, high end office chairs > gaming chairs. I have a Steelcase Gesture and Leap v1 and they're solid af. Had them for years and still look brand new. I'd probably been through a few shit cheap ones by now and spent more with more waste.

My bad. I haven't actually test sat that particular one. I just saw the name and made assumptions. (My brain - was I read it - may even have autocorrected it to Steel Series, which is probably in large part to blame :p )

I did the same.

Haha I had to double checked I had typed Steelcase and not SteelSeries. I understand that confusion lol.

Bought it at the end of 2021 as a Christmas present to myself. Ordered in October and it was delivered at the end of December. It was right at $2,000 new. I don't think they ever go on sale. Only time you get a good deal is on used and refurbished. Looked at what my chair would cost new today. $2295. They only increase in price.

I also have a Steelcase Leap that I used from 2014 to when I got the Gesture. My SO uses it daily. Still in excellent condition despite her banging it into things from time to time.

Have you sent this to TechSource Setup wars? This is outstanding because of how symmetrical it is and the clean simple functional setup. I don't doubt you get lost in immersion for hours upon hours in there. Good job bro 💯 👏

I have a sit to stand desk now. I play my FPS games while it's at a normal height, and sometimes lift it up to game. If it's raised up, I have my SIM Cockpit on casters, so it rolls easily and locks in place when it's where I want it.
If I am going to sim race, I can do so with my Quest 3, or with the rig rolled under the desk a good amount.

I couldnt continue using just the SIM cockpit to game as keyboard and mouse were a bit problematic to reach. I have sold my Aorus 4K 144hz 43" since then, and now use my OLED Odyssey G9, and Acer Predator 28" 4k in portrait mode.

^^ lord_tris - looking good there.. super jelly of all that space. It's turning out super!

Agreed, and it also appears he has the maybe the best PC case of all time ;)
zomg good eye antec gaming nine hundred? with that iconic top 200mm fan..

Setup upgraded with a 5090. Changed the fan layout since it's not AIO.

4090 went to a fellow forum member.

First 5090 I've seen here... congrats! Nice clean setup... like the bracket for the 8pin pci-e to 12V adapter

It's the adapter that came with the 5090 Windforce OC. Broke the clip on my Corsair 12VHPWR cable trying to take it off the 4090 since it was on there so tight. Might be a good thing that I'm using the half octopus adapter. Just saw der8auer's video with the same cable and power supply with a 5090. Having four Type4 connections to my Corsair AX1600i may be a good thing. Although, the 4090 was running at 600W and I never had a problem with it and the cable for nearly two years I was running it.

Edit: Also forgot to mention that I'm running a 9800X3D now with an X870E motherboard (as shown in the photo). The upgrade cycles never stop.
