We can't trust reviews because they're all paid shills,

This is all PC specific, and our version gets all the special attention we like: field-of-view options, responsive mouse movement, graphics options – you can even ‘Disable rat shadows’. +5% to the score right there.
The fact that someone’s still putting real effort into the PC version of their multi-platform game is one good reason to buy it. But with Dishonored, there are quite a few. The fact that it doesn’t have any unskippable boss fights. That it’s one of the few major new games that isn’t a sequel or a remake. That a developer went to huge lengths to allow players this much freedom, and a publisher gave them the time and money to make it this slick.
It’s a big, shiny example of so much we keep asking for in games, but rarely get. Luckily, the best way to vindicate it is to buy and then play an amazing game.

Game looks good, I haven't read too many of the reviews yet but I wonder how much replay value there is?
Did anyone really expect the pc to be half assed? It's developed by Arkane studios who made both the very underrated Arx Fatalis (which they wanted to be an official Ultima Underworld game but couldn't get the rights to) and Dark Messiah. Both very pc-centric games.
I'm just glad they got under the wing of Bethseda who seems to like to take risks and let pc players have their fun (mods, etc).
The only thing I could say is disappointing in regards to the PC port is it's a bit of a shame they went into the effort to add an FOV slider for it to be limited to 85°.
greenmangaming with 25% off makes the game 48$
Game looks amazing, no demo is a killer and so is the price. Will wait till winter sales, should drop to at least $20 by then.
Is this a necessary post? Every god damn game that comes out (except a very small few) is $60.
Necessary? No. Can I make it if I want to? You better believe it.
Also, a lot of games that are being released now a days on the PC are $30 or less so I believe my post is warranted and will help some people think before spending $60 on a game.
The lack of a demo is the main reason why I made that post, buying a game blind (without trying it) is always a bad idea in my book.
I'm just trying to convince some people that if they hold out another 2 months Dishonored will probably be $20 with DLC from either Steam or Amazon and there should be some lets plays of it on youtube and possibly a demo.

A lot of games? Name one outside of Torchlight. Name one multi-platform game that launched for less than $60.
Yes, the lack of demo's these days is a bummer. Torrent it if you want to get a feel, then buy if you like it enough.
You don't need to convince people about waiting. We're all pretty aware here, especially on the PC side of things. Not to mention your post didn't attempt to do any "convincing" at all.

You don't have to pay $60 for the game, I think I paid 42 to GMG some time ago. Complaining that you are not going to buy a game for full price and instead wait for christmas @ $20 is disingenuous. You could as well wait for a couple of years and get it for $9 or $5. And what other new things do you post about that you are going to *not* buy? We would like to know, since apparently you *not* buying something has the potential to influence people.
giggity.
went with the $45 deal on GMG.
Game looks nice, can't wait to play it (have to wait until European release)!
At least I have time for XCOM
