i ordered at 8pm eastern time on the 21st and havent gotten a shipping confirmation yet. my order number was 0821114475XX, not sure where theyre getting 523XXX... whats your order number?
 
mine arrived (from sams) on friday before the storm kicked up. it was handy to have while i left town. ive been using webos just over a year and can see where they made some improvements. i would have liked for them to have kept the gesture area similar to the pixi/pre though.

the keyboard is pretty nice as is the touchstone dock. im especially glad to see i didnt have to buy a special case this time around just to use it.

i never saw a reason for a tablet, but thought that maybe after having one i would. that hasnt happened yet. its a nice piece of hardware, but theres no way i would have spent $500 on it.

My order # is 524XXX, your confusing the Confirmation # with order
 
Anyone else who signed up to be notified by HP not get an email with the updated news?

right there in the top right it says order no. i dont see anything else that might be an order number. can you direct me to it?

I wonder how many folks who, like you, got one to see what they hype is about and will want to sell it later. I'm sure those prices will fall at some point.

Yep mine isn't showing up either.....no email though or nothing. Maybe their system is acting wonky.
 
My order has been cancelled, there was a delay in the system which put my order in on the 23rd instead of the 22nd. Who knows what that means, but I will not be getting one. BASTARDS!

i did kind of want one when it was announced, but like most people just couldnt justify 400 or 500 dollars on it. the idea behind it made it sound good in theory, just in execution i didnt see a reason...
 
Still see mine on SMB, although the ship date on one keeps updating every day. Other still says September 7 tho. Still hoping...
 
Alas, I don't think SMB will work for me. My order disappeared like others encountered above and now when I click on the status, it takes me to a page to add the tablet to my cart. When I try to add the tablet, it gives me the "out of stock" error and tells me to call SMB customer service. Bleh.
 
My order has disappeared to. Looks like it's time to call up HP again cause the stupid chat rep said I would be getting one, not that I really believed it...

I have one last chance. I'm trying to convince a retailer to sell me one of their returned units that was returned prior to the firesale. Never even turned on...
 
i got an e-mail from newegg saying to reply back with a phone number and time since I did the auto-notify thing.

they ended up calling the number they had on file instead of the one they asked for in the e-mail... :mad:

so i guess no touchpad for me
 
when did you guys order who's orders disappeared? After 4am 8/22? I ordered just before and mine still show up.
 
Same here on one of mine...Other is september 7th, which hasn't changed since they posted it. :confused:
 
the HP delivery date "updates" seem so arbitrary that i have no hope of ever receiving one from them. if do end up with an extra one, i will sell it to a [H] member for cost + shipping. the craigslist/ebay price gouging is so incredibly disgusting... i even have friends who are hoping to get a few to rip off others. makes me sad :(
 
After ordering on the 21st at HP Small Business site, and due to correcting a wording error on my address, (State Route vs St. Rt.) my order was put in credit review. I never got any emails at all, now today I finally got an order confirmation email, guess its now out of credit review.

When checking order status, it shows a planned ship date of 9/9, so with fingers crossed, I'll remain hopeful.
 
I have one 16gb looking to off load. That gives me a good negotiating price :)

ecost and their green fee + crazy shipping sucked.
 
Just a thought but those of you who ordered through HP SMB and can no longer find your order, you might want to enter in different (later) order dates with your same web order number and see if that does anything. I am just speculating but the order date may have something to do with it not showing up. Near as I can tell they have changed all of the order dates. I originally ordered on the 21st at around 23:00 but my order date is now the 23rd somehow. They changed it obviously. Why? I have no idea but the pessimist in me thinks it might be so that they can cancel later if it turns out they can't live up to fulfilling "all orders that were made before 4AM on the 22nd."

Anyway, it might be worth the try to enter later order dates.

FWIW, my order status now says that the expected delivery date is 9/8/11. However, I have been on the phone with them three times and the latest (from a couple days ago) was that I would be getting one but that it could be 6-8 weeks! I honestly don't think they have any damned idea at this point.

It's called dumping. Europe is fond of socialistic protectionism schemes that give the government an opportunity to collect more taxes through tariffs. In the long run, the only entity that benefits from that kind of practice is big government.

The US has similar laws against foreign countries involved in dumping, but they are rarely enforced. China has been subsidizing and dumping cheap steel on us for several years. The US steel industry has to accept it, because China owns us, due to our poor decisions. Scratch that. We get to pay more.
 
just got tracking info on my 1x32GB from costcentral. ordered 8:08pm eastern time with an order number of 527,4XX. hasnt been received by ups yet, but a label has been created with a tracking number. i had 2 day shipping since im in HI with no ground option, so i should have mine on tuesday! cant wait, so pumped. might still get my hp order too but who knows...
