Indeed it does, but I'm pretty sure that picture in particular is from some horror game. Can't remember the name.

The game was called Second Sight, it was a action/adventure game for most of the last generation consoles.

And I miss BFG =( My 8800 GTS from them is still going strong!

*Wait's for RMA*

What happened

Here's my workstation. It's not in perfect shape, but it's comfortable. I clean occasionally, but my case mod has kept it in a disastrous state most of the time as of late. This is the best its been in months.

I can post more pics if you're interested in something you see :)

BB Gun, awesome looking desk!

Really? A very sturdy but well worn piece I got for 35 bux from surplus. I look on craigslist for steel desks, and "vintage" ones in only slightly better condition are going for a 150-350.

WTF?

BB

Yes, really! I really like how those desks look. I've been on the look out for a cheap one for my garage/shop.

I believe it is the Lego Imperial Star Destroyer - 10030. http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=10030-1

Bingo! I picked it up on clearance at a Lego store because it was the last one they had left. At the time I just knew it was a huge Lego set (one of the largest for sure), and I'm a fan of Star Wars, so I figured why not.

...but holy crap, I had no idea they were going for 4-digits now! Kinda wish I would have kept the box...

I guess it depends on where you live because I often see that style in the free section. Not because they are bad but because they are heavy. I see stuff like "Free to whoever hauls, bring a truck and a friend!" all the time

Those old Tanker Desks are fantastic. Not only do they have a nice vintage look, but they could stand up to a nuclear explosion without breaking a sweat. Of course, they weigh about a ton, but that's the trade off you make for durability. Plus, you'll have something to hide under when the meteor hits.

Awesome desk, especially for 35 bucks.

Interested in seeing that drive bay I/O. You can PM me the pictures if you want.

That, my friend, is an old Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum I/O panel. It came with my sound card (which, besides EAX 2.0, was one of the reasons I originally bought it). Nowadays, I still use the I/O panel for lots of things like a 1/4" guitar input, optical SPDIF in/out, and RCA in. Until recently there were no Windows 7 drivers that worked which was a major bummer, but I have a feeling this may be the last generation it's supported.

I'll send you some pics later tonight once I have a chance to take them.

hey, what chair is that? I use them at my work and they are extremely comfortable.

It's a Herman Miller Aeron chair. I got it used from an office furniture resale shop for about 60% off the new price, which was still a lot of money... I got this chair in college because of the extensive hours I would spend in it doing my engineering homework and it turns out it was worth every penny. Every single day, no lie, the thought crosses my mind of switching it with my office chair at work.

If you can swing the high price tag, it's way worth it.

Yeah man, office desks were totally made with gun support in mind!

Psshh obviously, my AR-15 needs to be ready to drop some tangos at the slightest breeze :p

dR.Jester: I'd keep the guns showoffness out of the picture, we've gotten fairly annoyed with it in the past. Other then that it's a nice setup, though I can't imagine how dusty your case gets with no side panel.

Open air isn't as bad as you'd think. Easy to clean too. :p

Totally, the dust passes straight through/around the system, it doesn't get trapped inside like a case. Just have some canned air on the side to give it a blast now and then.

No kidding . I was thinking of picking one up for my office but not at that price

that is an eclectic collection of furniture you have there. haha.

Well I stand corrected then! I guess I have an unfair experience, the open air box I cleaned for someone had pet hair that's much more likely to get trapped in fans and such.

I miss them too actually! My 9800 GTX OC2 will go in a spare gaming rig as soon as I get one!

My system, specs are in the sig. This was built in early 2008, and was upgraded with double the ram and overclocked, and the 8800GT was upgraded to a GTX 260. This is probably as far as I can take this machine. Going to start over next time, hopefully next year... In the mean time, it plays all games pretty well; the 1680x1050 monitor means I can enable details and most games run perfectly on high or maxed.

(Edit: I cleaned up the cables; this case is kinda crappy for cable management, but I have a modular PSU so that makes it decent...)

I think it looks a bit better. Once location of everything is finalized I plan to get some cord hiding stuff for the wall so you cant see any of the cords. It sure does sounds a bit better lol... Now to get my dedicated DAC, 2 channel amp and a set of Magneplanar MMG's and Polk DSWPro600 and I will be golden lol...
