^^ The funniest, most revolting picture I've ever seen on [H], surpassing even the fat guy sitting on the floor in front of his computers. :p

He looks like Worf's disowned half brother. The runt Klingon no one in the family likes to talk about.

what.. now i gotta see a link for that.
i recon if the 'man-a-nimal' / klingon was wearing spurs on his boots, i'd be on my way to the hospital right now (with hicuppy-laugh heart palpitations)...

We've taken a turn down a dark, dangerous path from which there is no turning back!!

Alright! That's enough! If I see one more pic like these, I'll have to rip my eyeballs out and wash them in Clorox.

Cut it out.
Back on topic. Future posts will be infractions or vacations.

Here's my workstation. It's not in perfect shape, but it's comfortable. I clean occasionally, but my case mod has kept it in a disastrous state most of the time as of late. This is the best its been in months.

I can post more pics if you're interested in something you see :)

Nice setup man! Just a quick question: What stand did you use for your eyefinity setup? I've been looking for one to mount three 24's to, but I can't seem to find one :(

I tried this http://www.amazon.com/++++++++-Triple-Horizontal-Monitor-100-D16-B03/dp/B001NPEC5A

it did not work well with 24" monitors, not much adjustment left because of their size, kinda droopy on the end monitors...it is currenty holding 3 Viewsonic 22" 3d monitors and it works alot better, I would say 22" is it's acceptable limit

My wife and I both use this config , center monitor on it's own stand and the 2 outer each on this: http://www.amazon.com/Ergotron-Neo-...FW/ref=sr_1_23?ie=UTF8&qid=1306187941&sr=8-23
here is a picture of her's , mine is similar , alot better support and adjustment is acceptable, the mounts are "through bolted" not "clamped" on but the clamping works great as well...hope this helps and we like the mounts, we have several from this maker

thanks for the info. I just wish I could find a stand that could support three 24's and not cost a fortune.

Speaking of which, What stand did you use? It looks like it's holding up well. :)

It's a custom made stand. Here's a pic from the back:

Mixture of black iron and galvanized (some of the nipples my hardware stores didn't have in black iron). The base has the top part then a side piece that captures it on the edge of my desk so I don't have to worry about it falling over. The monitors have homemade VESA plates with 100x100 and 75x75 holes. The monitors themselves are on the 75x75, with two pipe clamps on the 100x100 holes. I don't have any issue with them tilting down (they are LG IPS236V monitors and are extremely light, YMMV with heavier). I had to make it extend outward from the base because of were the cables mount but I actually like it being a little closer. The bends are just 45 degrees, with a 4 inch nipple, connector, then 12 inch. When I had just the 12, the monitors were too close to the end of the pipe so I needed to extend it out a little, but not to the next full size up.

I didn't keep track of the cost, but I know it was less than 100 easily. The base was around 30, because I used red oak instead of MDF or plywood. If you don't mind drilling into your desk, you can just mount the flange on the desk, but I wanted to be able to remove it if I felt like it. I should get around to staining it to match the desk...

Brand and name for the paint on the walls?
Dunno, sorry :( The house just came like that when I bought it.

Saw the link from the front page, had to link to my thread here. I was initially inspired by a thread on HardOCP, nice how our communities work... :D

I remember seeing some of those when I was looking for ideas on what to do. I initially tried to use PVC, but stuff that didn't sag was about huge, so I went back to the 3/8th inch iron. I think it works out pretty good for the cost. Not as adjustable (I can accidently tilt and pan mine due to the 90 on the downpipe, heh) but I didn't want to drop 350 on one of the actual built stands.
