It wouldn't be so funny... but as someone that isn't a console warrior I'm just as excited for GT5. But then I guess all my posts in the GT5 thread mean nothing. Maybe I can only count as excited for it if I troll other games. My apologies, I didn't know the rules.

Let's try to get this thread back on track. I am super excited about Forza 3 (and GT5, so please don't spam me Stereo). That last shot does look really good. Neither GT nor Forza will be perfect, but I can assure you both will be awesome.

If GT5 does end up coming out this year, I will pretty much only be playing racing sims for the next 6 months because of these two games.:)
 
Man, you guys have way too much time on your hands. Go for a swim or bike ride and get the game when it comes out instead of arguing which game on which system will be better.

Besides, I think you'll find that only a very sad few care about which game is better on which system... most of us just want them both to rock. :)

I added my own comment about floating cars, something I observed a month earlier and Top Gear now alluded to. When challenged, I provided my evidence. A video that everyone can see shows a floating car. Who are we to believe ?

I have no idea what you're getting at, other than that you've got really really old threads saved. But since I'm too lazy to go digging and see who or what I was actually responding to, I could not care less. But the fact that I was at some point correcting someone's misconceptions about an argument regarding MGS4 on the xbox is really relevant to your complete lack of any objective bone in your body.

Here's the easy version: Anyone can find plenty of posts by me praising sony and MS products and games, including how fucking awesome GT5 is going to be. You on the other hand are a talking points spewing fanboy who doesn't care about games or gaming, only about labels, so keep it up. I think you're sig worthy now.
 
This is getting utterly ridiculous. Why don't you take it to PMs or maybe even create your own GT vs Forza (PS3 vs 360) thread where people can snipe and bitch at each other all day long?

I'll leave it alone. He'll keep shitting the thread up with fud and with no intention of ever playing the game, and those of us who actually like games will continue to be happy that both games are on track to be fucking awesome.

Getting the thread back on track, I've gone this long without a wheel...is there one you would suggest that I would be able to use on both my 360 and ps3, or is that a pipe dream at this point? I'd rather not have to buy two wheels for F3 and GT5, a single solution that works on both, even if it's not the *best* would be awesome.
 
Sadly that's your only choice right now in terms of multi console wheels. =/

I still haven't brought myself to order it. It's considerably worse in the UK in terms of price (basically what the PS3 launched for, and what I could buy a PS3 / 360 for now).

Maybe I can hack a mario kart wii mote plastic wheel, since that's the best wheel solution this gen :D

You should try being in Australia, we can't even get the wheel at all :p When it finally does come out I'm sure it'll be overpriced beyond your wildest imagination.

I'm gonna wait on the G27 before I jump any guns on buying a new wheel, especially since I already have a G25 and dont want to waste money. I'm hoping and praying the G27 has 360 support. I'm also hoping for it to be decent value for money and actually available in shops, unlike the Fanatec wheels. *crosses fingers*
 
Sadly it doesn't (support the 360). No great surprise really... though it is annoying. :(

Has that actually been confirmed? Its sad if it is :( but I was under the impression the only solid info we had on it were the pictures and a bit of portugese text from here.
 
Is there ANY 360 wheel with a clutch other than those fanatec wheels that I'd need to sell a kidney to be able to afford?

Not officially. But I've had it confirmed unofficially by someone I trust on the subject.

If we're lucky... maybe they're wrong. But I doubt it; MS and Logitech don't know how to play nice with each other.
 
Yet MS will play nice with MadCatz garbage? I don't get it. Maybe because MS and Logitech compete for the keyboard/mouse space?

That's what I've always thought too, MS doesn't like direct competition with their products, like Apple, and Logitech too I guess. But it's stupid on their part, Logitech makes some of the best made console/PC peripherals imo.

I'm surprised MS hasn't bought Logitech honestly, especially considering the PC peripherals they'd monopolize in the process.

That's partially where the animosity between the two companies comes from. It's not like MS hasn't made moves to on prior occasions.

In fairness, the Fanatec is only $30 more if you live in the US so there's really not much in it (plus you get the multi platform ability). Different story if you live in Europe though. :(
 
well, I was more comparing it to the g25 prices. I don't think I'd pick up a g27 until the prices dropped a bit anyways(new product inflates prices for a bit), and the g25 can be had for around 200$ if I look hard enough.
 
I wonder if Logitech will ever make any 360 stuff again. Their original wheel was shite and it always surprised me that they didn't release a better version.
 
I really don't know why you're so quick to blame Microsoft. If they were so interested in protecting sales of their official wheel, why have the Fanatec / MadCatz ones?

Don't forget that Logitech did used to make a wheel for the 360 (DriveFX)... but it was trash (just like the official wheel).

Yeah, you can't buy Fanatec at all in Australia. Massive advantage of Logitech wheels is that you can walk into almost any computer or electronics shop in most western countries and buy a G25 for a reasonable price. None of this ordering crap that may or may not reach you when expected.

If I could walk into a shop and buy a Fanatec wheel of equal quality to the G25 for around $400 (you can get G25s for $325), I'd buy one in half a second and also pick up an Xbox 360 to enjoy Forza 2/3. But as it is, I can't.

Because their own wheels are crap and they want to support a company that they can more easily control? ;)
 
Odd that they don't do Australia. You'd think one country is much the same as another.

But yeah, I agree, it's a shit situation. This was the opportunity for MS / Logitech to fix the issue... but for whatever reason they didn't. I wonder if we'll ever find out exactly what happened. (I bet many people will be asking them)
