Is it just me, or are the GMs on here tightasses? I was messing around and yelled: "FOR THE ALLIANCE" and "WE MUST ELIMINATE THE UNDEAD MENACE", somebody yelled back "Go play your [sic]paly!" and I yelled in response "PALLYS SUCK." Within a minute I get a whisper from <GM>Julia saying "I heard you were causing trouble. I suggest you cut it out if you don't want to be banned"

If she said she heard you're causing trouble it probably means one or more people reported you and may not nesseesarily be the GM's fault.

And on a sidenote I've never had a GM say anything to me.

Hmmm...seems to me that she shouldn't be able to ban anyone based on what she "heard" from someone in-game. I've heard a LOT worse than that yelled out before. Plus, the server logs don't lie. Although I suppose if you would've challenged her, that you'd have been subsequently temp-banned for questioning authority. Maybe you just caught her on the wrong day. ;)

Actually, after downloading and installing 0.54, WoW bugged me about having an "out-of-date" mod. I told it to load anyway, and found that it didn't work in-game as well. So, a little research later (since you told me yours was piggy-backed with ct_mod), I found http://www.ctmod.net/downloads.ct - there, they list that they use ct_mapmod v1.46.

I haven't verified that it actually works yet, but I suspect that it will since it was pretty recently updated.

I was prior to moving to this server. I still have my 29 Troll Shaman there - Ajani. He hasn't seen any play time since though.

I think im going to pick up this game this weekend and start playing, would like to join the guild. If you can tolerate another newbie and I can only really play on weekends, maybe sometimes on weekdays.

Loooong time [H] lurker here. I am an officer on a guild called Fury of the Horde on Nerzhul however i have many many alts across servers. I will try to make a char called Trueno on Stormscale. What do you guys need? Tanks, healers, mages?

Let me know and ill make an alt there.

My main char in the guild is Seleste, and I'm the Guild Creator :) and highest lvl without a mount :p

Not the highest level any more with the latest invite. Maybe you need to find some rich level 60 to join the guild so you can actually get a mount. Haha.
 
I had quite the experience last night when I logged into WoW. Last night I finally recieved my widescreen TV. So I logged on to test out WoW on the screen. Well as luck would have it just as I log in I see two Alliance about 5 levels higher right next to me. I was still adjusting the resolution so I couldn't read any text or really see anything. I started to run just so I could get away and a mob stunned me. Well the Alliance come right up beside me and as I type /cry and wait to die. Well funny thing is they never attacked, they just waved at me, saluted and did a little dance, then took off.

It rather stunned me that even with the addition of the ganking ... er I mean honour system that they did not kill me. Perhaps not all Alliance are ganking griefers, like I had thought before.

I'm starting to find that some folks are wising up to the honor system a bit. Yesterday I had a Night Elf that was 10+ levels above me come up as I was fighting a mob. "Great", I think, "I'm toast". However, rather than attack, she cheered me on, blew me a kiss when I was done, and took off.

However, some folks are just plain paranoid. Some druid in Stranglethorn Vale that conned grey to me was fighting a mob at 1/2 health. I guess he wasn't really watching carefully, because after I /waved to him, he freaked and took off running.
 
Yeah, ganking actually seems less now. I was in STV last night and only got ganked when I was near some other alliance fighting horde as nesing's, and when I hunter's marked a Tauren and he got all pissed off. Other than that, nothing. Of course, Ratchet and Booty Bay are horrible. The Brusiers are glitched now, and just randomly all jumped into the water last night. It was one helluva fight down there.
 
I still see a ton of ganking. Of course I got so used to getting killed by any alliance I saw, that I don't give them the benefit of the doubt any more. I figure if I am most likely going to die, might as well try to kill them first.

If a high level alliance attacks me now, I just spam my /golfclap macro and dont even fight back.

I am still the highest lvl :p

and the new high member helped me get my mount! :cool:
 
Is the guild on Mannoroth by any chance?

All of the guilds I have been in aren't very helpful...or fun. :(

A dwarf (much higher level than we were) and I (Tauren) and another Tauren ran around hunting for awhile the other day. It was fun, but someone ratted the dwarf out and the cavalry came looking for him.

I noticed that this honor system really brings out the sucky players. For example:

Last night a lvl 34 pally and I (32 hunter) were questing in STV. We were in the Venture Co Base Camp

We beat two lvl 37 shredders at the same time

Turned around and started fighting 3 gelogists (34-35) at the same time

A lvl 41 Tauren warrior came and attacked us while we were still fighting the 3 geologists.

We beat the living hell out of him

Take down the 3 geologists

Turn around and accidently pull 2 more and beat them too

Only loss : my pet

Total time: 10 minutes constant fighting

Then 5 minutes later, were were just fighting a few more geologists on our way out, and the same Tauren warrior comes back with two lvl 41 friends who gank us while we were already half dead from mobs.
 
The only problem I have is that the bruisers in Gadgetzan and BB seem too weeak.

But yeah.....I am in ejoying the HS.
 
Yesterday I went to Boot Bay for some odd reason. ANd I'm a Lvl 16 UD Priest I was killed 5 times in 2 min. ANd these Alliance were at least High 40 to60's for sure. I'm pretty sur ethey don't get honor. SO WHat I did was Dance for them I showed them LOL
 
Well, I was too lazy & didnt play either the GW or WOW open betas, so I still dont know what to get today. Right now Im leaning toward WOW, as Im willing to pay the extra $ for a game that I know is one of the best ever, and actually has constant MMO interaction.

Help, prefereably from someone who has both?
