upgrading my Ram, Psu, and video card in the next week. everything should be comming in soon, and i'll try the test again to see what has changed, getting a BFG 6800GT, Antec neopower 480 psu, and another stick of 512, to give me a gig of ram.

Hehe.. That thing needs an update. Ranked my PC as being worse than 74% of all PC's tested...

Athlon X2 4400+ 2MB L2 Toledo @2423MHz
Abit AV8 K8T800Pro
2x512MB Geil Dual-Channel Value RAM
ATI X800XT-Platinum Edition 256MB AGP 545/1140
2x 160GB Hitachi Deskstar SATA RAID0

It couldn't ID my processor, so I suppose that is the problem. I guess I will have to wait for an update to get a true score.

well you do have a crappy computer there, think about upgrading buddy. shit man get the 4800 and a x850 xt pe, what were you thinking

The lappy: 81% of all scanned computers are better than it. Think it's the Athlon 2200 or the Radeon IGP? :p

Desktop: Top 2%

Athlon64 3200
gig-o-ram
X800PRO --> 16 pipe
etc.

LoL Even with remote desktop, I still get top 3%

1MB Vram, woo-woo!

Hm, it doesn't run on win2k3. I get the message that I need IE and 98/me/2k/xp.

Blah.

98% of machines are better than yours!

On my IBM T23 :D

P3 1.2ghz
512mb RAM
Savage with 16mb

The results actually seem pretty accurate to me. Considering the fact that a lot of people are going to be running this test on P4 1.6ghz with GF2MX 32MB, I would suspect that the systems tested are pretty much on par with their rating (except, of course, the X2's and 7800GTX's that aren't being ID'd correctly, LOL).

Also, I think something like this that is easily-accessible is what is needed to help make PC gaming more mainstream.

I think it should make suggestions based on what sucks about a given system. I.e. if you have a A64 with integrated GFX, it should recommend a video card upgrade.

Work machine (athlonxp-m @ 2400mhz) with gef2mx gets "55% of pc's are better than yours" :)

hehehe

My work PC: 91%(bottom 9%!)

Free Disk Space 14.28GB
Display Card Memory 128MB
Display Driver Version 7.7.7.2
DirectX Version 9.0c
Optical Drive CD/DVD
Sound Card SoundMAX Digital Audio

Seems low for a P4 3.06 + 6200/64-bit + 512 PC2700 ? Maybe b/c I was doing a lot of other stuff at the same time? Does this thing actually test anything or does it just read your specs and plug them in to a database?

Cant run it in Firefox....But if 2.6's are in the top 2%...My Venice at 3.2Ghz has to be off the chart...lol

90% of the systems scanned by the Game Advisor rank higher in performance than your system. - on my POS system at work. I ran it just for kicks.

Top 1% for me. I guess cranking up that Venice to 2.6Ghz counts for something :).

One of my work machines ranks below 63% of the machines that the Game Advisor has scanned.

Look at the specs of this awesome high performance machine!
Pentium 4 1.4GHz 256k Cache (Willamette Core) (Socket 423 BABY!)
Intel D850GB Motherboard w/onboard sound!
1024MB of PC800 RDRAM
nVidia Quadro 2 Pro 64MB AGP (Geforce 2 equivalent)
80GB 7200rpm Western Digital Hard Drive
200GB 7200rpm Western Digital Hard Drive
Toshiba 2x DVD-R/RW

I am betting the system in my sig would be up there a ways if I the stupid Game Advisor tool would work on my machine. Don't know if its my 7800GTX or Windows XP x64 Edition that's throwing it off.

I win my Dad's machine couldnt even run it. :D 450mhz OC'd by moving a jumper on the mobo from 350mhz ATI Rage Integrated Video, I think 512mb of RAM, 60gb HD. I wish he could get internet thats not of satilite so I coudl use my Mac on it.

This PC is going to be put down soon when I replace it with my old machine once I get it running again.

9600XT
80 gig WD hdd
512 megs of ram
Win XP home

It said that 97% of systems are faster than mine.... ROFL. Stupid MS lol. Guess it didnt like my CPU/GFX Card...

very surprised. top 10%.

dual mp2800
pc2700
x850xt pe

i thought i was memory limited@266mhz!!!!!!? i dont have dual channel 400mhz. does this mean very few people HAVE dual channel 400mhz? it was probably the video card that pushed it over =).

It's the 6200, that gives the low rating.
It's hardly a "gamers card"...

Terra...

Top 5% I'll bump my OC up later and see where that puts me, although if I had something better than a 6600GT I would probably have scored higher.

And WTF? Why is it only reading my D:\ drive for free disk space? My total space free (across all my drives/partitions) should read 98.2 GB (228.5 GB total)

It also misread my optical drive's, I've got one DVD-ROM and one CD-RW..

I know that, but I would think its better than the bottom 9%. I think the problem is that it doesn't recognize the 6200. (just shows Generic VGA device)

Top 12% with older computer:
P4 2.8GHz; 1.5GB RAM; 5950Ultra

Can't see what percent newer computer is in. Everything below the Game Advisor Account button is blank on this computer!
P4 3.8GHz; 1GB RAM; 7800GTX

If only gamers take that "benchmark" that card would end up very lowtoo...even if detected proberly ;)
