when i get paid as much as you(which won't ever happen) maybe i'll try it but until then my minimum wage job covers my rent and over priced gas. :p

Gas is 1.34EURO per litre here. That is roughly $8/gallon. Perfect for a driving vacation.

when BD is out, member title should be “Official AMD representative” o_O

Yeah, llano launched today.

One of my co-workers had a brazos-based notebook when we were in beijing earlier this year. He never bothered to bring the AC adapter with him to the office, just recharged at night.

I love my e350 netbook. Battery life is great, and its much superior to my friends Atom/Ion netbook in performance. I can actually run Starcraft 2 on it (with lowered settings, but it still ran pretty well). Looking forward to seeing what Llano and BD bring to the table.

My friend in England tells me it's much worse.

I am surprised Europeans can afford that much.

they get payed more and drive smaller cars.. lol and they have a much better public transit system then 99% of the US. also you can drive through 3 or 4 european countries in the same time it takes us to drive from one state to the other.

You're average German auto factory worker earns 1.5x the wages of your average American auto factory worker. And they don't drive Pickup Trucks that get 12 mpg.

Wait, you mean our unions arn't making our auto workers dirty rich? But Michael Moore says they were the highest paid workers because of thier unions...LOL

Wha? I'm sure a lot of the pay disparity comes from the fact that the Euro is now worth $1.50 USD...there is your 50% difference right there.

Gas is high in Europe due to tax. Europeans drive tiny cars, a 2.0 l engine is considered big. High gas prices and tiny roads and also shorter traveling distances. Plus you don't need to drive, when I lived in the UK I never learnt to drive, you can walk everywhere or take buses/trains.

It certainly is, i just spent £1.22 per litre where i live and most parts of the UK are far above that, now about £1.30 a litre. That's £5.85 a gallon or $9.57 per imperial gallon:eek::mad:

Well more then likely topic will be moved to a different part of the forum. Anyway have a nice holiday John.
