What's your current mp3 player?

Cowon i7. Sturdy little bastard, and terrific sound quality. Has a battery life of about 100 years. ;)

Cowon S9 - great sound

Replaced a 5th gen iPod classic 30Gb and sounds better. I prefer the wheel over touchscreen but the Cowon wins the sound battle and that's all that really matters to me.

Sansa clip 2gb. By far my favorite mp3 player I've owned. Great for running. Pretty good quality and really small. Don't really have to worry about breaking it and its not a huge deal if I do. Slap mp3 files on it like if it were a usb thumb drive.

iPod Photo 60gb.

It's been breaking down over and over again (keep getting the sad ipod face) for a while now, and I keep fixing it either smacking it against something or opening it up and pushing the hard drive cable back into place.

Really want a Touch but have been holding out for a 64gb for a while now.

I couldn't wait any longer and bought a Touch 32gb at the beginning of April. It's AMAZING! I figure I'll sell it and upgrade to the 64gb whenever it releases.

I use a Sansa Express with an 8GB microsd card. Got it because it was cheap and basically looks and works like a usb stick.

iriver ifp900: still going after 3 years, two drops into two different oceans and a couple of bangs against the rocks during mountain climbing.

SanDisk 8GB Titanium USB drive that's filled with hundreds of MP3s. I plug it into my Alpine iDA-X305 whenever I'm in the car.

i have ipod touch, my god that thing is horrible for the gym. Why? well it's all virtual keyboard, except the volume control... hate a song? gotta turn on the touch, unlock it, then with your non sweaty hand(oh come on don't tell me that when you work out you don't sweat, lets be real) try to skip the song. Guess what, it's even harder to do this while on a treadmill... Get something with physical buttons for the gym, imo.

There is a cool thing with it tho, my gym has wifi so when i cool down(from running) i can browse a few sites for a few mins.

The gf has a sansa clip... it's awesome, NO software to destroy your system, simple drag and drop couldn't be simpler, play fast foward, stop, about all you need, she clips it to her waist or shirt or whatever and she's on the go.

If i didn't get an ipod touch(i got it for using as a PIM and figured why not for mp3) i'd still use my sansa clip, we both have one, best workout mp3 player imo
(ppl who complain about 2gigs of space... i know your not running a marathon here!)

Currently using an iRiver iHP40 from 2002.

Looking to replace it with Cowon S9 32GB when it comes out, Hopefully it will have a SDHC slot, smaller versions don't.

Let me know if you want to sell.. will take it off your hands.

1st gen iphone 8gb. i want more space though. when the new iphone comes out i'm gonna try and get my hands on at least a 16gb model.

like lanx said, get a something cheap like a sansa clip if you want music for jogging, working out, sports. basically something that won't cost $300 to replace if it flys out of your pocket, and with buttons so its easy to change songs while running, instead of using a touch screen.

Still using my 2 y/o red and engraved ipod nano 2nd gen. that my girlfriend bought me for my Valentine's/late Christmas present. I've thought about upgrading to the new ipod touch but the nano is so much easier to use when working out.

Sansa e250. I love its simplicity, size, and features. Its nice to switch to FM radio when need be. It is an excellent player.

I will most likely buy a next gen Zune when they come out.

im still using my 2nd gen ipod mini 4gb baby blue i got when it first came out =D still running like new with no scratches, but my wheel is a bit dirty

Just a heads up to everyone: the Sansa Clip 8GB model that was available at Walmart for $49 is gone from most stores and wont be restocked nationwide, so if you guys were thinking about getting that player at that price, now would be a good time to see if there are any left in stock--don't be afraid to ask for the display model. (it's a good player--PnP, supports ogg and flac, decent DAP)

Koslov, I heard about those just today when I was researching earbuds but I ended up getting the NuForce NE-7M instead, which seems to get a lot of praise from Head-Fi. Maybe I made the wrong choice :p

iPod touch 16GB (first Apple player I've ever owned) + Sony Ericsson W580i (my phone, pretty good player too, the music browser is nice for a cheap phone) + Creative MuVo V100 2GB & TX 512MB (I think)

I use the iPod touch in the car, at the library, when traveling, etc. I use my Sony Ericsson phone when I'm on the move, between classes, at work, etc. I use the MuVo V100 (which doubles as a USB thumbdrive) mostly when I travel, and the other 512MB MuVo when I run. Those MuVo players are almost indestructible, my older one must've absorbed several galons of rain/sweat and it keeps on kickin (it does show a good amount of muck under the LCD cover tho, heh). The fact that they use a single AAA battery is nice when traveling too (or camping).

I can't imagine any one player ever being the best bet across all situations... /shrug

I picked up some player that was pre loaded with "rock hits" at best buy for $9.95 It's 1GB very light weight, uses aaa batteries and if i drop it while I'm mowing and run over it/step on it/kick it/dog chews it up/ etc etc...who cares.

Other times i use my iphone

The new Zune HD looks pretty sweet after seeing some pictures of it on engadget.

right now I am still using my 80 gig 5Gen Ipod still going strong, and my nano is used when working out
