finished replaying the game on 'Hard' and got to 100% completion...there were a few items that were hard to find and I needed some online walkthroughs before I could get them...the Fast Travel campfires don't even list the Cliffside Bunker level which is what confused me in the end...fantastic game!
Better graphically than Crysis 3? No...but it does look nice.
To me Crysis 3 has this "flatness" about it, there's no sense of depth. I felt the same way about Crysis 2 so maybe the Crytek engine is just not for my eyes. I thought both Tomb Raider and Bioshock Infinite looked better.

I would love a replay with all the abilities intact from last play through and higher difficulty.
Something like realism mode. One shot, one kill type thing.
Just bought it. Is it better to play with kB/mouse or 360 controller?
I thoroughly enjoyed Tomb Raider, my first excursion into any Tomb Raider game. My only real criticism would be the replay value for the single player game is pretty light. Play it once and that about wraps it up. It is a great concept and a lot of fun the first time through, and I went back through the environments item hunting and even found some areas I missed the first time through. But I think the game lacks a real draw that compels one to start out on a second adventure. Maybe in a couple of months I'll boot it up again.
Trying to run at 1600p with 680 SLI, anything worth turning off/on for smooth gameplay?
I played at 1440p on a single Titan with everything maxed and FXAA, was very smooth most of the time. I think the only options really making a significant difference are TressFX and the AA settings. SSAA is nice but at 2560x1440 FXAA was just fine for me.
Have everything maxed including TressFX, but with FXAA.
WIth the 680 SLI I get really low FPS sometimes 15's or so.
Shadows to medium or so, does seem to improve framerates, but they still drop heavily sometimes.
I'll give it a try on my 60" TV at 1080p first, to see how that fares without sacrifying quality.
If the frames are dropping during fights it's most likely a CPU-bottleneck issue, not GPU.
you know that later on she'll be all "BLOOD! BLOOD!!! OH IS SO PRETTY!!" into it
i'm sold... that sounds so "cool"
