Did someone teleport me to arr4ws place... the rocket... if so I don't appreciate that at all. I though this server didnt have all that crap where the admins abused the powers/etc... - so why is it im being teleported all over the map??? I walk away and im in the basement of my house, i come back a little while later, and im in arr4ws joint... not cool at all

Im not sure people came and went. I know I was logged in at the same time as G1 at one point, but when I came back to my desk he wasnt online anymore.
 
unfortunately I'm not admin anymore, I hadn't been on but about an hour before you left, could of been any time through out the night tho.
 
It was between 9am and 11am. Thats when I was using it this morning. At 9am I was in my basement, and around 11am i was at arr4ws rocket ship.

Is there anyway we can get a list of who the admins are/etc... so we know who to talk to. I know you own the servers right, and then theres arr4ws and dudewth i wanna say who are admins and insom??? I feel as if im forgetting someone, zexx maybe also?

got a problem with my joint?

its an awesome place. how do you get teleported and dont know who did it? are you afk? cause we have a anti-afk plugin.

Im guessing your using a macro for this right?
 
Hellz yeah I am :) When I walk away to take a crap or the laundry i dont wanna get kicked. What'd you do, teleported me cause you saw me twitching? And then I came back and i was in a new place?

I just dont see how its fair that you get to sit in your little afk room all night while everybody else gets kicked after a few minutes of idling.. with the new bed plugin, should take off the afk kick

I don't know who tped you, wasn't me. I don't even have access to that command. Also, there is a difference between afking at a grinder that is basically public (we control gunpowder but not completely) and your own grinder where drops are all private.

I'm also an admin, though I manage more the website (coming soon) and the dynamic map tool.

I agree with dudewth as well. There is a difference between afking at a public grinder vs a private one.

No, the problem was that an admin must have tp'd Adam (Vycor) away from his home while he was AFK.

Other then grinding mobs for their drops? Nothing. The issue is people circumventing the anti-afk plugins to be at their private grinder.
 
Whats the point of an anti-afk plugin anyway? Not reason for me to build a grinder like I planned if I can't park myself at it and gather loot.
 
Basically, if you don't move for X amount of time, you are auto-kicked from the server.

On the one hand, I can see why this is useful because the server has limited bandwidth and we don't want 20 people idling at various mob grinders 24/7. But at the same time, it is annoying because it's set to like, 5 minutes of idle or something, so you really can't sit in one place very long at all before it kicks you.
 
Yeah we might want to consider upping the AFK time limit. Give people a chance to grab loot, while still making it so they don't completely hog resources. What do you think arr4ws and dudewth?

after 5 min of not moving , youre kicked. We have a limited server , runned by a member. We dont want to leech his internet connection , or fry the server. Also at one time during the hardcraft reboot , i could log in , see 5 peeps in the servers , everyone afk, we dont want a zombie server.

im afkin at night. and have the right to do so, since I was given the right. Anyone who doesnt comply with this , well , its your problem. But if its causing a problem to some individual,we will remove it to everyone, and demote people who try to work around this. We could up the time to maybe 15-30 minutes. But since im not the owner of the server , i wont give anything to anyone.
 
i have no problem with it, i'm just wondering how it effects the people and the grinders

Someone has to be close enough for the chunk with the grinder to be loaded for the grinder to work. That's why people want to afk near their grinder.

Its not exactly public when you guys keep locking the gunpowder...

I idle at my grinder because it doesnt make sense for me to sit there while im sitting at my pc... otherwise whats the point of the grinder... cause its really only usefull if you idle, otherwise your busy doing other things during the day (like spending time ta corsair or building somewhere else or harvesting, at which point the mobs may not be spawning in the grinder since your too far away).

plus i have my own grinder, no need to take from the "public grinder", let people who didnt have the time to make one take from that... but i should not be "disallowed" to idle, i share my drops with everybody, over the last two days ive given out a lot of feathers and arrows and other things as needed, gunpowder too. its not a "public grinder" because i lock the door but anybodys welcome to ask me for loot, if i have it im more then willing to share, but not being allowed to walk away for a few hours or even overnight when the servers slow... i dunno just doesnt seem right that one person is allowed to sit there and afk while nobody else is allowed.

i came here from another server because it seemed more community based, the other server was all too spread out, they didnt want people building near each other, but now that im here everybodys great but being kicked after 5 minutes, yeah that kinda sucks.

Your more then welcome to use my bandwidth, which ive offered. I can setup a 1U server in my rack (which i have, i have 2 of them sitting collecting dust, xenon processors), give you guys access to it and you can host 50 people on the box and whatever else... that would solve the problem. I have plenty of servers, a 100Mbps and have 4 free IP's... let me know if you wanna utilize it, otherwise i cant do much bout his bandwidth, i know its hosted at his house.

The gunpowder is private to protect against griefers. Even with it being whitelist and having build groups, we still have trouble from time to time.

well it was nice playing with everybody, but i don't think im gonna be returning... arr4ws decided to get into a little pissing match in the server, rather then keeping it on the board, then started acting like a dictator telling everybody "no more idling, deal or no deal" and when i didn't answer, he set me on fire, killing me, and basically destroying the entire front of my place, along with all the items i was holding.

I honestly dont need that kind of bullshit, where someones gonna start an argument with me in game (cause i never did that in game) and then when he cant force me to say exaclty what he wants, sets me and my shit on fire... thats totally uncalled for in my opinion, so whatever, i just won't play on the server anymore since he is having a hissy fit that im pissed that he could idle but nobody else could by their grinder... so whatever man. i got better things to do

ive always gotten along with arr4ws and really everybody, and i guess maybe he got a little pissed that i was going against him on this "idling thing" but really, he sat there idling every night and it didnt seem right he could but nobody else could... a lot of us have grinders and we cant collect from them, since we cant idle... but i never once destroyed someones building or killed them on purpose just because, i could... thats just not right....

yer all aces in my book, it was lots of fun playing with you all, helping you build, giving you what i could and chatting with ya... keep in touch soky and zexx and the rest
 
IMO, Keeping the gunpowder locked down is a MUST for a public grinder...

The last thing anyone should want is another griefing bastard.

How about setting the AFK to 10 minutes?

it was a mishap on my side , i apologized. im now fixing your building but im very very tired of your attitude towards people who run the server.
