I guess that's what I meant to say, S&F is still kicking? I haven't spoken to Toe in a while, he still playing? The [H] guild on BP only had 10 people in it and no one was ever on in it. S & F which is where we all started is extremely active and generally about 50 of us on at any given time it seems.

Looks like I need to join S&FBorlis Pass right?
Do you guys get on TS at all while on GW2?

Huge free content coming Jan and February
Dremics vent server is the official S&F vent server. I haven't been playing that much lately but am about to start it back up this week.
i still never finished this game i should go back and cap out at least one character lol.
Got a charr ranger to 80 yesterday and loved every minute of it.
What's another good class to play? I wan to try a different race too (aside from norn)

Meh I have no interest anymore..the only thing to do is like Fractals till like level 9348530. Guild Wars 1 lasted me from 2005 - 2009 ..this game lasted me like a few months lol.
It's a real shame what they are doing to this game. They need to stop adding all this fluffy content and fix some core mechanics before it's too late. My biggest gripe is with the skill system. I feel like everyone is forced down the same build path ultimately. Also seems like DPS is the only thing that matters, and that's just shallow and highlights bad design. Tanks, whats that? I enjoy playing tank. I like speccing my guy for toughness vit so I can survive. But I feel like it just doesnt matter here. Also interrupts for example is just broken. Is it just me or can you not interrupt 80% of the mobs you fight. They are either immune, or you get the "interrupt" sign but it doesn't actually interrupt the animation. And when you can successfully interrupt, it doesn't really net you much because they can spam the same skill 2 seconds later. There just isn't many viable builds right now it seems. I feel limited and un-unique. I just get the feeling they are putting too much faith in new pretty content in the form of area's and events when they have core issues that should be sorted out. New content means jack shit if your bored with your character and class. I'm still digging the game, and I have faith that Anet is capable of improving things. I just hope they do before too many people leave and never come back.
Going to cap off this thread. You fuckers ready to come back to WoW?![]()
So...
Apparently contrary to EVERYONE in here, I've just picked the game back up last week, and I'm enjoying myself again immensely. I guess I got burned out pretty quick, and for a while had zero desire to play it whatsoever. But after picking it up again, and just taking my time, and moving through the game at my own pace and I'm having a blast.
That said, I just priced my Cultural Tier 3 armor, and had a mini-heart attack. 100+ gold? What do you guys do to raise money? Because I need a lot more >.>

I would say, "Are you ready to come back to GW1?" All of the depth and combinations that made GW1 so fun to play have been gutted in GW2. Like others, I find ArenaNet's idiotic predisposition towards adding content versus fixing mechanics maddening. Who cares if there is some new content if your broken game mechanics have gutted your game population. I am actually about to switch over to MWO for a few months just for a change of scenery.
GW1 sucked.
GW1 sucked.
Hell no it didn't. With a few friends, it was pure awesome. Those were the good old days, Old (er) WoW and GW1 on the weekends.
With a few friends. That is the key. Otherwise dungeons just completely spiked in difficulty and after people just abandoned you because someone died or you couldn't get back to your body because the NPCs you hired sucked ass.
The grouping mechanic was frustrating in GW1.

I've been playing since release and have a character in every class. Each class starts out with a facade of complexity but as you level up and gain access to higher tier skills you end up with a very shallow system that forces you into one of several builds. I have independently tried creating a build for each of my characters as I have leveled only to find out that it is one of the few builds that everyone else recommends. For me, part of the fun in GW1 was crafting a novel and unique build that surprised your opponents. I have yet to see that develop in GW2.
As for your armor... are you going for an achievement for the cultural armor? It is really one of the worst values in the game. You can get exotics or better for the same price.
Once I figured out how to make money I started having a lot more fun.
Making money is pretty much all grinding and a little luck.
Use your dungeon tokens to buy exotics and gamble them on the mystic forge. My buddy turned 3 ac focus and 1 cof great sword into a 100g precursor.
