The Division 2

Will try it out after The Division 1 Global Event Assault ends next week.

Wasn't exactly thrilled by it on the PTS. Speaking TD1, anybody playing it?
 
TU4 dropped today, it includes lots of good Clan changes among other things. One of those changes is to be able to see when a Clan member was last online, so I'll be looking at members who have been inactive for 3 months or more and removing them to make room.

Alright I've made room for 5 members if anyone is interested. I could probably make room for 5 more if needed.

I know a lot of us are not playing much, or at all, at the moment. This includes me, so I'm not trying to boot Clan Members just for the sake of booting them. If for some reason a Forum Member I'm not familiar with does get booted, just message me and submit an request to the Clan again.

On a more personal but related note, my work schedule has taken an unexpected turn for the worse. This has created some issues at home that I am working through. It has resulted in my not having much time or energy for games and the like (for those of you who may have been wondering where I disappeared too). I don't have an ETA yet, but the game is kind of in a stale place for me right now anyway. Hopefully by the time Expeditions roll out, my personal life will be more sorted.

No need for that. I'm not trying to get rid of people, just clear out players that seemed to have just dabbled at launch.
 
I'm kinda of disappointed at the amount of step you have to go through just to unlock the gunner, Then after all that BS you have to level it........its pretty ridiculous.....

If there's room I'd love to join. RubiconTitan is my ID and I'm on pretty consistently. Played Division 1 up till the release of this game even if it's just a few missions a week.
 
I bought this game close after launch, and never played it.... Until yesterday (for 5 hours). And I must say this looks and runs beautiful (everything maxed out on my 1080ti). Very well done, and I'm having some great fun so far. Love how they created downtown D.C. the attention to details is crazy! I think a dog wanted to sniff by butt. lol

Will be firing it up tonight again, still learning some things as I never played Div 1.

  • New Signature Weapon: Minigun
  • All other Signature Weapons reworked; TAC 50 now almost twice as strong
  • Medkit exploit fixed (part of that fix coming in maintenance tonight), hitbox will no longer ignore bullets
  • Merciless exploit fixed, explosive damage no longer bypasses armor to apply directly to health
  • Firefly buffs to get people to try it (most ignored skill)
  • Occupied DZ changes with its own Rogue system
  • Skill buffs and builds are a major focus of next patch
  • Possibly looking into Gear RNG for future PTS

I rather play this game just because it looks nice then any other shooter out there just turned level 4 but the grind is there.

Kinda stopped playing. Really dont like it compared to div1. I dont like the after story bit either.

Can they remaster div 1 with div 2 graphics?
 
cant even play right now. game launches in a window and locks up changing it to full screen. Started right after the last patch today.

audio and inputs work just nothing moves on screen.

I am giving up after these 20 steps you have to go through to unlock the new specialization. A game should be fun to play, not feel like a chore.

Seeing I got the pass and all that stuff I can just use it right away if I wanted too :p

Working on a 4th toon though to use it with so it will be a while longer.

When i saw this i was pissed off. 5 steps with 4 achievements in each....thats just ridiculous....i mean its supposed to be fun, the specialization shouldn't be an achievement trophy.....Its a chore enough to level the damn thing let alone just unlock it.

Haha yeah. I was a die hard Chrome user but given Google's "track everything" philosophy I've jumped ship to Firefox and just use Chrome for Google related services (YouTube / Docs).

I keep IE/Edge on there because sometimes you have to troubleshoot a webthingamabob and make sure it's the site and not your browser especially when I go to financial related sites / banks / stocks / coin exchanges - which always seem to be very finicky with working 100%, kinda sorta working or not working at all.

At first I thought "Finally!", but after thinking about it... It'll probably only work with pistols, so... You know how you want to go into dark places with the biggest gun you have in hand, right? Guess that ain't happening :facepalm:

Even if the flashlight is pistol only, it's not that bad if you build for it.

My current setup is dual ARs (P416 and Socom Mk16) and 45acp pistol.

I'm running the exotic holster + pistol (I've tried the diceros & snub nosed diceros but ended up using a 45 acp with lucky shot + extended 45 acp mag = 21 total rounds + allegro + something else) build and it's a pretty effective beast. I haven't even done much gear wise to boost pistol damage other than the class weapon bonuses (+15%) to pistol = approx 43k damage currently.

If / when I get the 2 piece gear set that has bonus damage to pistol, it will get even better.

Try out the M1911 if you're into pistols, it gets the second highest damage rolls out of the magazine fed and feels much better to use than the D50 (quicker reaquisition due to recoil). Have one with optimist/extra and another with lucky shot/extra and honestly like having lucky shot more too. Imo, for secondary perks on semi-auto/single shot weapons, I like having extra because recoil and button pressing kind of nullifies the benefits of allegro. It's fun for open world and hard missions on a standard weapon damage build, so I can see how it might be competitive on a full pistol build if you're aggressive and line up those headshots.
 
Liberty plus Exotic Holster is something really special. That's far and away been my primary setup.

I like M1911s and D50s as backup, too.

Where/how do you even get the flashlight?

There seems to be mixed signals on this: Is there an actual flashlight for the pistols you can get now or is this just kind of a myth? If so, how do you get it?
 
No one knows yet. They haven't officially said.

I only have the one 45 with the good damage roll, so don't want to mess with it too much but my buddy does have a similar setup but with extra vs my allegro and he likes it.

With the range (and other) bonuses from the holster, it's hard to justify using another weapon if you are a run and gun style player. The thing people also neglect to mention is that pistols come with UNLIMITED ammo. No restocking, no BS. Just keep on shooting.

I keep the Socom Mk16 AR and (scoped) Mk17 rifle for the long range engagements, since you can't scope the pistol but if they ever allowed scoped pistols, I can see doing a straight up pistols only build.

I'm not sure if I got a god roll or something but my pistol - IIRC - is a plain jane 45a1 (not X, not socom, not anything special).

It would be cool if it acted sort of like a flash bang and temporarily blinded enemies for a few seconds while there eyes adjusted to the bright light. I doubt that will happen though and the only benefit will be you can see better in dark areas.

Ah k, yeah, they're fun. Iirc, the only difference in nearly all variants are minor changes to accuracy and/or stability, they almost always have the same potential for damage rolls.

Frraksurred is the Head Guy of the group.
He said there are a couple others.
Frraksurred is around less of late. We do miss him terribly.
Being he is the Head Guy and all.
