The Coolermaster Gallery

Moved the phase system and Stacker to bench duty only. Picked up another black Stacker to build a nice quiet daily driver.

Built two identical stackers for a couple of brothers...so they could play WoW and Everquest (seems like a waste of an 8800 GTX)

if they remade that case with 120mm fans front, back, and bottom I'd be all over it. Totally gorgeous.

That's the one problem with this case, it's so tall and spacious between the front edge of the board and the drive bays, there is no way of hiding the cables unless you are feeling brave and want to cut some holes in the chassis...and the mesh panel on the other side shows all of your cable tidying which is even more annoying.

Haha, this was before I even started bothering with cable managment, I have since built a couple of workstations that are a tad more tidy.

If you look in the antec gallery I posted my workstations..

Gonna build a new fileserver later this year, aiming for vastly better cable managment then
(Starting with 8x1TB, maybe going for 16x1TB later)

Also I cant just swap around cables on the 3ware controller, so its a hassle to reorganize the cables... gah.

The cables are put in a way that they wont be too much in the way of things, but obviously there is some obstruction...

Temps arent bad at all, I'm using a noctua fan in the top 4in3 (im gonna toss that, noctua sucks for this) and nexus fans in the bottom two, with drive temps around 28-35C idle, going up to 38C tops (21-24C ambient) on the hottest drives with the fans turned down to like 8-9V (so the fans arent really audible above the drives themselves). This is well inside my limits (I dont like drives running at above 40-42C)

It helps that they're Samsung T166 drives that dont run very hot in the first place

The temp spike at the end was with two threads copying at 200-250mbit/s each from the fileserver to my new workstation (WS2 in the sig), copying about 588GB in a few hours :D

Thank you :)

Here you can see that the cables are actually being held out of the way for the most part..

PS - no, the case isn't open all the time and the CPU fan is blowing to the rear

Ok here is mine. It still is waiting for new tubing. Then the tubing will be red uv reactive (using fesser uv red coolant). Also, I am still waiting on some red leds to accent the inside with and some carbon fiber pieces to put over the silver bars that you can see. The pics don't really do it justice because of the lighting... You can't really see from the pics but the whole inside is painted black and clear coated and the hard drive caddy is red like the outside. I will post some inside pics later.

you wish.
Are you jealous? :p

To anyone that thought I was serious, I was joking in my above post. I prefer Lian Li's, but Coolermasters are still good. My faves are the ATC series but CM doesn't make them anymore so I've moved onto other companies.

It depends on the LILI or CM.. I would take a CM-690 of that new LILI that was displayed at CIVO or whatever...

Then again, the cm-690 is one of my favorite cases of all time.

I picked my stacker over the PC-A16b, but I really wanted the room. Coolermaster makes really nice cases for the price. I would make get a V-series, but I love my stacker.

man, i'm reading this thread and i'm getting so nostalgic.

i own a silver wave and a stacker 810 and i love them. <3

but man i wish that all the photos were still available in this thread, but most of them seem to be photobucket 404s
