TF2 scout update!

I seem to be having a problem with Steam stats saving.

For instance last night I scored 200 odd points in an hour and yet the statistics did not save to my Steam profile. I played out the round and did not disconnect (as I understand stats only save at the end of the game) This has happened on multiple occasions now and is getting tiresome. I must have lost over 1000 points recently

I know stats aren't particularly important and it's not a game breaker but it's good to keep an eye on your progress through the game and it acts as an incentive.

Anyone else had or having this issue? Is there anything I can do to correct this?

Unfortunately for me, everytime I kritz a soldier he either A) Gets crit'd before he gets a shot off. B) Miss everything. or C)Runs out of ammo.

I usually end up wiping down my keyboard after kritzing a soldier due to the tears.
 
The fiance was having that issue the past week or so too. It would show one thing, she would complete the match and everything fine, then the next time the points were missing.
 
Well at least I'm not the only one.

Played CP_Fastlane last night and scored 150 points, checking stats this morning none have saved again. Disappointing..

Decided to uninstall Steam, but of course this got rid of TF2, duh.

dude, i feel your pain, i had a like 70 point engineer round, so happy, go to sleep, come back the other day and BAM!, its gone :(. I got it back to aroudn 60 but still..
 
Yeah I've been getting pretty upset with steam lately too. I'm predominantly a medic player and since they integrated steam cloud I typically no longer switch medi-guns. And yeah, I know about the cabinet; with the steam cloud glitch I can't even get the menu to confirm the switch.

Suppose the good side is that it's a great excuse for using the krtiz on offense in attack/defend maps!

Yeah, I'm dreading that update. Valve doesn't playtest anything, so I'm expecting something incredibly OP for the sniper. After all, the pyro initially got the +50 health BB and Scout still has the sandman that's still banned in competitive play. Sniper will get some sort of "instant win" button that having 12 newbs on a team mashing all at once will make the game unbearable.

With Valve's track record? :D

But really, it's a guarantee that the first two weeks after the patch will consist of pubs being flooded with people trying out the sniper regardless of the unlocks quality. It's always happened, it will always happen. Nothing inherently wrong with it, but it will makes games a bit more frustrating.

Not so much flooded with people trying out the sniper as playing sniper to earn the new unlock. ;)
 
Got some practice in as a Sniper last night, headshots are ludicrously good fun.

Sniper is my favorite class(and most-played). I wonder if it will get a claymore because spy's get me a lot.
 
I just want Soldier and Demoman updates but I have a feeling they'll be the last two to get done.

Translation: stop worrying about points and play the fucking game. Don't be one of those douches who plays COD4 or CS and posts up a screen shot showing how many points they got in a round.

Fair enough, played last night and no stats saved but the game was epic, took 2 hours to finish the map and I didn't even care about the points saving

Hopefully the Spy will be last. Probably my least played character. By the time it comes out hopefully I will be better at playing him.
 
the worst will be the engineer unlocks...

can you guys imagine a 24 player game where 16 of the people are engies? talk about a shitfest......

i really hope the demo unlock is released at the same time :) :)

The character loadout selections have been unavailable again over the last few nights. It says Steam is currently unavailable. Anyone else having this issue?

Pretty annoying as I like to use the backburner and the flare gun as a Pyro, especially for arena matches.

Yay. Got my axetinguisher out of nowhere last night. Kept getting achievements and it popped up i unlocked it. Those didn't take any time!

Nice. It doesn't take too long to get achievements done, for me anyways. But I just play a class for a week or so and get(got) all sorts of goodies.

Yeah, normally I switch classes all the time, a few times per game, depending on what my team needs, but last night I played pyro for 2 hours straight. I still have to get my 2nd and 3rd medic achievement, and im one away from getting the sandman. I dont care about natascha but I do want the boxing gloves:) Then I gotta start working on my sniper achievements when that comes out. It's nice not having to grind to get some achievements.

The Killing Gloves of Boxing are hilarious. Very satifying when you connect one and embarrassing for the enemy to be punched by a slow old Heavy with comical huge red gloves on. I spent 20 minutes munching Sandvich just to get the 22nd heavy acheivement so I could use them. :)

I swear everytime I have my best rounds on demo and medic the records are never saved.
I have got the medic 7000+ healing achiev a couple times now, but it still isn't saved...

Same here I beat my record for the Pyro last night 30 kills in one life (I was on fire so to speak!) and it didn't save. This is due to the Steam community issues (as links in my previous post)

Hopefully Valve will get their POP working properly soon enough so I can change loadouts

haha! Yeah I crack up every time I see a big ol heavy running around throwing punches with those gloves.

Ahh so THATS why my massive heavy killing spree didn't show up. Man I killed so many people that life.
 
Anyone else get tired of their teammates not helping you when you're a sniper? I'll be picking people off left & right (which doesn't happen a lot, but sometimes I get on a roll) and then the next thing I know I'm getting backstabbed by a damn spy while I'm zoomed in. Then it'll happen about 3 or 4 times in a row. I'm like, "Somebody watch my back, damn it."

Yup. Pretty much every man for himself on public servers. I hate it. Me and my buddies rented a server, a public 24 man, so we could play with people that would play as a team. And now nobody will play on it, so I still play on public servers and get pissed that nobody will help anybody out. (most of the time)

Watch your own back... snipers don't help the team much... especially not pubs/instant respawn/big servers...

Just stand next to sentrys when you're sniping, spy should get blown away, or you can hear him sapping the sentry and turn around to shoot/chop him.
