I have to agree that very high resolutions seem awkward, but I set it to 1680x1050 and it's not too bad. Just big enough without being too big.

The inventory not centering is annoying though.

It's a file that my friend hosted on his FTP, so I cannot link it since he doesn't want his FTP open like that. It's called terraria_ws.zip though. It's a new .exe from what I remember. You just use that to launch the game.

I just read that the menus are coded weird and a guy said he could fix them, make them bigger etc, but it would violate the EULA.. bummer.

Maybe they are, but when you look at what features have been added over the past 6 months it's been pretty freaking sparse. The fact is that Minecraft needs a major facelift in the gameplay department (adding something beyond just the random sandbox factor) to compete with games like Terraria (and others which are sure to follow.)

I recently got the game, and have never played minecraft, i find myself truly addicted. Currently running 3 sp worlds at the same time, one for exploring and going after bosses, one building a giant castle in the sky, and the other is for strip mining for said castle.

P.S. PM'd you Tekara about access to your server.
 
I really like how the stuff you have in your inventory stays with you if you decide to go to another world or try multiplayer. It's nice not having to start from scratch all the time.

Haha this game will be good for that trust me. There's so much to do in this game and its very addicting, without a doubt the best $10 I spent within the past year.
 
Tons to explore and lots of things to craft.

Yesterday I found my first skeletons! I also found a floating island in the sky with with a chest containing a horseshoe that removes fall damage.. so useful!

I hope the developers keep adding content and rpg elements to it.
 
Does anyone want to set up a group and start from the very beginning? Playing on servers where they killed most of the boss's and already have good armor ruins the experience for me.

Sounds good to me. That would be a lot of fun playing together from the start and crafting our own gear and what not. Getting free gear is too much instant gratification for me, I like to earn stuff and enjoy everything about the game while playing it but that's just me :/.

Just picked up the game last night. Ended up not getting to bed until 1:30am. It was awesome. MineCraft is great, but for people like me who lack creativity, the novelty begins to wear off. I haven't played on the Hardcraft server for over a week because of this, it just gets a bit boring. This game has me absolutely hooked though.

We're having fun on different servers, but I agree that starting fresh on a specific one would be nice. It seems too easy to start and there's already this big castle with everything you need there.

I am looking to do the same. Start fresh with a group of people. My kids keep turning my server off. I am going to migrate it to a UMPC tonight and stick the computer in a drawer and let it run that way so we dont get any more interuption.
 
I was playing on it until 2minutes ago. It's a new world.. I made a tiny house and started with a new character.
 
I tried the WS fix. EDIT: NVM got it working.

I think there should be a better way of getting a bigger window without having to go fullscreen (which screws up my multi-monitor setup because of the low res.) If anyone's ever played Spelunky, there was a graphics option to double, triple, or quadruple the pixel count. It would make windowed mode bigger, but didn't give you any view distance advantage simply because the pixels were bigger.

I've been playing the shit out of this game in SP, trying to get some decent equipment to make myself look respectable in MP, lolz. Loving it, though, lots of fun.
