Okay, I am still looking for people who play very often, 1v1 practice or team games. West coast timezone. Anyone else looking for a buddy to league up and practice with in games?

Yes, same. As I've told you in the game, you're pretty good, and you should play more league games to rank up instead of UMS mapsWell, that was fun with lobski. We got pwned by the cheese though. Won some, lost some. Ah well.
For which? I'm in Dia 1v1, Plat for 2v2 and 3v3 and Gold for 4v4. What's your realid?Hey what league are you in now? If you want some PvP help let me know
I haven't been on much the past couple days (home for Christmas) but feel free to add me since I usually play a couple games a day during break. kencheeto.308
I should be back online on Sunday or Monday (26/27th)
Oh, and stick to your best race, not random![]()

So I just got the game for Christmas and started playing through single player. I would like to eventually get into PvP. Anyone have any pointers? I was pretty good at SC1 days (I thought). I mained with Terran but could play toss or zerg also. So far I'm just trying to get used to all these new units and what they do/are good against.
I might try a few pvp games here and there but will probably wait to get into it after I finish the single player.

Terran is the most starter friendly race imo.
learning how to macro will help your long term skill potential. learning how to cheese / do all in builds will net you wins in the short term until you run into opponents that know how to stop it and then you'll need to learn how to macro. that's the theory for prioritizing learning how to macro at least.
I believe protoss is the most starter friendly. Just because of the sheer power the units have. Mastering protoss however is another story.
terran is easiest to learn. Protoss have all sorts of buildings for upgrades and combinations of spells to use.
Terran is more simple. build marine, marauder,
upgrades: get stim and concussion shells
support unit: get medivac, throw in a raven for lulz
if your opponent gets some good ground forces, get tanks, if they get air, get vikings. if for some reason the game is still going on, get battle cruisers.
So a friend and I played what is, for us, probably the most epic game either of us has been a part of. We're both gold level so I'm sure it's packed with more than a few mistakes and odd decision making, but another friend that spectated said it was great fun to watch.
Figured I'd post it here so people can poke holes in my play if they want to
It's a 48ish minute game that isn't really decided until I believe sometime around the 40 minute mark, and we end up with bases at all but one position on the map.
Mid to late game, you definitely had enough bases up for solid hive tech but I don't think you got there. Ultras / infestors would really put the hurt on that MMM army.
^I haven't played in a few weeks, but I'll play a game or two with you.

Yeah, I've been busy with Steam saleHey North, I haven't seen you online in SC2 in a while, we should all play.
@ Deluded: Still here? Didn't see you online last night
Bonksnp, I can be your practice buddy, what is your email or realid?
I guess my realid is Bonksnp? (thats your name in game right? I'd rather not put my email up here)Hey North, I haven't seen you online in SC2 in a while, we should all play.

Terran and Protoss are both "beginner friendly" in their own ways.
Zerg is obviously a completely different thing. I don't think there is enough APM in the world to truly master playing them.
It's your name plus the character code.I guess my realid is Bonksnp? (thats your name in game right? I'd rather not put my email up here)
I'll add whoever when I get home from work (should be about 30-45 minutes
Bonksnp.724 if anyone cares. It's your name plus the character code.
