Star Wars: Battlefront Reboot

Thinkin about picking it up over the hoildays. Just saw Rogue One and it made me want some Star Wars action.

Anyone playing on PC? Looks like the concurrent user base is about 10K for PC versus 35 XBOX and 44 PS4. I don't own a console. Just curious if anyones still playing on PC how matchmaking fares these days.

Well I just played last night on PC and I was able to get into two different games (on Rogue One DLC) pretty quickly. I only had to wait maybe 10-20 seconds each time to get placed in a match.

I saw the movie last Friday when it came out and it kinda made me want to get the DLC. Since it was on sale right now I said what the hell and just got it. It's pretty fun so far.

If the entire game was $20 I would consider it. Just to tourist the levels. Game play is still far too generic feeling to play it often.

The ultimate edition with all DC is $29. That's why I'm considering it. I have watched some YouTube videos, of the new maps too, and yeah I can agree based on what I see it looks pretty generic.

I think for $29 including the DLCs it's worth it. The regular maps do get a little repetitive after a while, but now with the DLC it feels like a complete game. X-wings and TIE fighters! If the original game had come out with all the DLCs it probably would have been more favorably received.

So I was late on getting Battlefront, but I bought the base game around August this year (it was on sale for $20). I found it to be fun but it was a bit lacking in the Star Wars stuff. The first person combat is good but it is basically Battlefield Star Wars. The thing I think is most lacking with the base game is vehicle combat.

I got the Season Pass yesterday since it was on sale on Origin for $20 because I wanted to try out the Rogue One DLC (and Death Star but haven't tried it yet). After playing Rogue One DLC for a couple of hours last night I have to say I had a blast with the space battle part of the game. Aside from the fact that space combat should have been included in the base game it feels pretty well done and really makes the game what it should have been from the start. So I'd recommend the Season Pass right now while it's on sale for $20.

I'm the total opposite. I played the Bespin DLC, and I loved it. I ended up buying the DLC for half price I think it was.

Not long after that they released the Deathstar DLC. I jumped on it as soon as I got home from work and freaking hated it. The space part was excruciatingly long. I was so glad when it ended, and then the next thing I know it had flipped sides I was flying as the Rebels. I said, "Good grief!" Then when we finally got into the Deathstar it lasted about 3 minutes and it was over. I said enough of this.

Soon as I tried the Rogue One DLC it put me in space but Ivstuck it out and the other modes have been great. Tonight I played each round until it put me in space, and then I got the hell out.

fyi ALL of the star wars games on steam are on sale, whole pack is $65CAN.
edit: I was looking for battlefront and found that. gonna pick up the ult ed for $30. I only played the beta and really liked it so I figure for $30 it can be my xmas pressy to myself.

It's a no-brainer at $10 for the basic game from Origin. You get 12 missions you can play solo or co-op and 11 skirmish missions for Walker Assault or Fighter Squadron you can play solo or co-op.

Any reason to buy the Season Pass primarily for SP or co-op?

If anyone's still playing add me to your origin : Arzemn. They added this to access so quite a few more players/new players
