Why are there no reviews for this game?
They didn't budget for game reviewer spa treatments I guess.

Really? Anything special you're doing to get it to work? Are you getting close to 100% utilization on both gpu's?
i seriously underestimated this game. when you get to this part, pepper your angus because shyt is about to get real. ugly.
A single GTX 580 is able to max the game at 1080P and keep a pretty steady 60 FPS.

Worry not this game will top that part multiple times before you finish this game![]()

the pic of afterburner in my last post showed significant usage on both gpus...nothing special to get it work...it just worked for me.
after updating to 12.1 drivers im getting even better crossfire utilization in ss3!
don't you just love when a game JUST WORKS with crossfire without having to do anything special, it really makes you wonder what the hell these other developers are doing to break crossfire so that people have to wait for AMD to release a crossfire profile/driver update.
I'm puzzled how it works for some people and it doesn't work for others. Something is awry here. In Battlefield, for example, I get nearly 99% utilization on both gpu's and my fps are almost always above 60 fps at 2560 x 1440 on ultra settings. In Serious Sam, I've seen my fps plummet down to below 30 fps. My gpu usage fluctuates in Serious Sam. I've seen it hit 90's occasionally, but that's very rare. If you go to the Steam forums, there are lots of people posting performance issues.

Serious Sam HD has never worked properly with sli or crossfire. I don't know why AMD and Nvidia never got around to fixing it. I saw negative scaling with sli in serious sam hd.
True, but I'm puzzled how some people are saying they're getting great frame rates in this game and crossfire is working properly, as I'm just not seeing it.
I don't get that either. Both serious sam hd tfe and tse ran great for me with 6950 crossfire but I've heard that it doesn't work properly for most people.
Yeah, I get the fact that 3 is probably much more demanding on the hardware, but this game runs like complete ass in some scenes. Hopefully, there is a fix around the corner. *crosses fingers*
Is it mostly around water that you have this problem? If so disable crossfire and lower the settings a bit. I would also start a thread on AMD forums. They tend to just not fix crossfire issues on games that aren't super popular. This game runs fine on a single card, remember its AMD's job to support crossfire.
It's mostly during big outdoor levels, or weird random spots, like facing a wall, believe it or not. I've reduced my settings from ultra to high and even lowered my resolution from 2560 x 1440 to 1080p and I still get shitty frame rates. Oh, and Croteam is aware of the problem. On the Steam forums, they made a post, saying that they're looking into the problem with AMD. So, hopefully, some kind of resolution for crossfire users comes about shortly.
see, exactly why i like croteam. i think the reason theres so many crossfire problems in games is that developers don't bother to take the time to work with AMD to fix the issues, AMD doesn't have an unlimited driver team to sit there and work on every single game. so if the developers not going to bother trying to help them then why bother fixing the game in my opinion.
Took some gameplay footage...it's not the greatest level but it gives you a good idea on how it runs on my rig.

i've got a fraps counter in the upper right. you can see a slight hitch every once in a while but i believe it's because im memory limited at 1gb, my usage over 900mb...it seems to hitch when new enemies spawn nearby. it doesn't kill the gameplay at all though.
does ss3 ever get the chainsaw pumpkin guys?
I'd like people's opinions on this review
Having never played a SS game before, is it really basically just wave after wave of enemies? It seems like it would get repetitive as he said.
