Start fresh and keep your saved games + old ini files? None of the mods you listed should cause a dependency.

Mine won't even load after the update. I go into task manager and it says it's running, but it's not. I only had some hi-res textures, and I tweaked my .ini's, and that's it.

Tried that. It still crashed.

You're not using the old 4GB patch are you? Running TESV.exe should work, in theory.

I WAS using the 4gb patch. It won't load, and TESV.exe won't work either. The launcher shows up. That's it though.

Make sure you delete all files associated with the old 4GB mod. I would also get rid of anything associated with SKSE, although there is a new version out that's compatible with the new patch.

You could also try "Verifying Cache" on steam a few times.

I just got the latest version of the 4GB mod, and same thing. Skyrim will not load AT ALL! frustrating.
Oh, and I tried it without any of the files for the 4GB mod.

You don't want that any longer as the purpose of the new official Skyrim patch is to do what the 4GB patch did.

Yes, I know. Skyrim will simply not load for me. I'll go to task manager, and it says that it's running, but it's not running. This is after the patch, and just TESV, not the 4GB mod.

Tried the cache, and haven't deleted all the files. Just the exe and some dlls... Thanks for your help btw! I'm guessing I'm gonna have to delete them all, eh?

if you just put it in their inventory then yes, but if you manually remove their 'hidden' items then no. this is how I got the buggy ones like mjoll/lydia to use what I give them.

With SKSE updated and everything in order should I be launching the game with skseloader.exe or just via TESV.exe or via Steam?

I use SKSE, but I'm also using SkyUI which requires it.

Retail version of Skyrim is irrelevant since it's a Steam based title anyways.

Yup, launch through the SKSE loader. TESV.exe is now natively LAA, so there's nothing to "enable" any more.

Reading through that thread... just wow. And wow to Bethseda not compiling it efficiently enough. Big props to ianpatt (SKSE team) too and his explanations. (he uploaded a version that will work with all steam versions)

Oh wow, I just installed it. Markarth would bring my fps way down normally, but now there's only the tiniest drop in framerate. What is this black magic wizardry!!?!??!

Those are part of the source code. Unless you plan on working on this type of thing, then you don't need to bother with anything in the src (source) folder.
