god damn! did you drink all that in one day? thats at least 80g of sugar

Didnt your mother teach you not to quote pictures in reply's? I drank all that over the course of a week working on some computer science projects.

My pictures are of various sizes so i conveniently linked to them:
19" LCD without stand due to height restrictions of cabinet.

inlet vent/controls access. that's a cisco router sellotaped to the back as a replacement stand for those who are wondering.
top vent to let hot air excape.

best for last, my 42" computer monitor...
No it's not a TV (though it used to be a tv set)...
a TV is the shiny silver box hidden in the back of many sets...
i pulled my TV out (in a licenced building) and crushed/smashed the hell out of it...
now i said the facts and i ramble on for one last sentance... ran out of 'long it' sentances:
here it is!

The problem is I'm from Europe and I can't seem to find them on this side of the ocean.

Well thank you anyway. ;)

If you don't mind it being a laptop keyboard you can find Fujitsu ones for their tablets cheaply on ebay.

Zanza- sowoneul malhaebwa hahaha. I have the A5's. They are extremely... crisp? Tons of detail. I actually know the difference between clapping and drums now. But it's a blessing and a curse. I hear static in the lower bitrate mp3's I have. The wavs and flacs are perfect though. Still looking for a good sub to pair with it as well as the money to buy it. Need someone to buy my laptop >.<

Also, you can yoona all you want. U stay away from Yuri, Jessica, Taeyoon, and Sunny.

I will get a better pic later.
Envision 19w monitor. Stand removed. Two WD external HDD's behind, and my two Swan M10 speakers upfront, keeps it nice and steady.
The glare isn't that bad, and the height isn't much of an issue. In my chair I lean back a little bit out of habit. So the speakers fire closer to my face, and the screen is pretty much level.

An update:

I've finally found a 3007WFP-HC for a relatively good price. Combined with the two 2007FP's I already had and the removal of the Samsung it gives this result:

DSC_7538.jpg

I have to say that playing BF2 at 2048x1536 is really fun.

But I wonder why it's laggy when I move something on the border between the 3007WFP and the right 2007FP. It doesn't do that on the other side of the 3007WFP.

The 3007WFP-HC is connected to a EVGA GTX260 Core 216 SC and the two 2007FP's are connected to a EVGA 7900GTX

I really didn't suspect the 30" was THAT big. Before I had 3x 20", but this 30"..., the 2007FP's look very small in comparison.

But I still hate the facts it's a widescreen. It just isn't the right aspect ratio. I would have preferred a 4:3 ratio.

I'm surprised the physical dimensions of these monitors matched up. On paper, the 3007WFP has a height of 17.7" and the 2007WFP width is 18.6".

I've been trying to build this setup for a while and I'm trying to match up my 2 Samsung- 20" 4:3 monitors w/ a 30", but so far I can't find a 30" that has the same height as the width of my monitors (17.5") =/

those are 2007 FP, not 2007 WFP - there is a nonwidescreen version and a widescreen version, with 1600x1200 res and 1680 by 1050 res respectively.

you need the 1600x1200 resolution or 2007FP for it to match up correctly

make sure the other 20 inch monitors you are using (to match up to a 3007wfp) has a res of 1600x1200

this will match in portrait mode to the vertical resolution of 2560x1600 of the 3007wfp

Are they really 2007FP's? I'm only eye balling the picture, but they look more like 2007WFP to me?

You really like to "turn things around", don't you?
Or did you change your signature just for that post?

Anyway, just do that 90º perspective change on the user pic and it becomes obvious.

I am sure, I have the setup sitting in front of me. and I had a 2007wfp as well, it doesn't fit next to the 3007wfp-hc - its about an inch off

Hey guys! I've been looking at this thread for months now, but never made an account. I was getting tired of scrolling through all the comments and reposts/quotes. So I made a PHP script to go through all 761 pages of posts and grab all <img> and <a> tags out of the HTML page source that ended in .jpg, .jpeg, or .png. Then, I saved them all to a text file, and ran another script to remove all duplicate lines (images). Finally, I ran one last script to make it into one HUGE HTML file, meaning they all had <img> tags. It took about an hour to open the HTML file and download all the images. Lastly, I saved the file locally, and that is what you see here! There are 4,027 images in this archive.

The numbers you see in the HTML file are the thread page number that those images appear on. They were supposed to be in order but they're not.

Careful when trying to open this HTML file... Firefox routinely crashes... as does Chrome.. surprisingly, IE is the only one that seems to handle it. Alternately, you can just view the pictures from the made_files folder. Enjoy!!

If you have any questions or comments you can reach me...

Wow, a noobie with something good to post! That has to be a first?

He could have just created a text file with each link on a separate line. Most decent download managers can extract and download the links.

Yeah, that might have been easier, but he still posted something very useful. And he didn't have to make the list by hand

thats pretty baller, i must admit

i got a new hdtv. i don't think its big enough.

cimg0173.jpg

cimg0175z.jpg

and yes the door closes.

$320 for 37 inches. not bad at all.

so that JVC is sitting on two smaller LCD TVs? whats that all about? seems pretty sweet

thanks man.

the jvc (47") is my main tv/computer monitor. I use it to watch most of my TV, play video games, or to use the computer.

in addition to the computer and ps3, it has a dedicated hd dvr (until cableCards become available to the public).

the other 2 monitors (17" gateways / 720p) each have their own hd cable box hooked up to them. The yamaha receiver handles audio switching.

I have a harmony 890 to control the audio switching and channel control of all the boxes.

this way, i can watch TV will surfing the internet... or watch multiple games at the same time.

instead of picture in picture, it is picture and picture AND picture.

:D

you need the 1600x1200 resolution or 2007FP for it to match up correctly

make sure the other 20 inch monitors you are using (to match up to a 3007wfp) has a res of 1600x1200

this will match in portrait mode to the vertical resolution of 2560x1600 of the 3007wfp

Hmm. So how important is it to have matching resolution? I'm not really planning on doing any gaming with the system I'm trying to build so are there any other applications where mis-matched vertical resolution becomes a problem?

Here's the planning I've been doing...
multidisplay03.jpg

I started by creating a 3D scale model to better understand the size relationships with a triple display system. I used 2x20" monitors at 1680 x 1050 with a 30" at 2560 x 1600. I was hoping to actually use non-widescreen 20" displays at 1600 x 1200 but they just cost too much (which makes me a sad panda). I also modeled a triple 24" setup with each one at a resolution of 1920 x 1200.

multidisplay04.jpg

What I found out (mainly from doing the math) was that a 2x20" with 1x30" was the best choice for the money. Here's the breakdown:

Triple 24's:
3 x 24" @ 1920 x 1200 = 6,912,000 total pixels
3 x $550 = $1,650

Single 30 and dual 20's:
2 x 20" 2 1680 x 1050 + 1 x 30" @ 2560 x 1600 = 3,528,000 + 4,096,000 = 7,624,000 total pixels
2 x $220 + $1,100 = $1,540

So I'm looking at about $100 less for 712,000 additional pixels!

I doubt it would be a huge problem. it all comes down to bucks I guess.

if you are spending that much on monitors, whats another hundred dollars so the resolution matches?

also, just wait until Dell has their 3007wfp-hc in their outlet. I bought 2 of them through there, they have ended up very good. also, they are $799 and less with a coupon

- lot of [H] members have bought them through the outlet. lots of satisfactory results

by the way, your LL on DELL is upside down on your portrait 20 inchers :)

where did u find a 37 inch lcd for $320?

microcenter clearanced open box tv.

best part is since olevia went out of business MC themselves cover the tv for one year. i got a square trade warranty on top as well.

edit: they also had a 32incher for $200 which my brother picked up.

you can find dell 2001's off ebay that align up perfectly and are IPS panels, I've had mine for over a yr and no complaints here...yea they might have a scratch...but can I really see them when I'm staring @ 4960x1200...

so find a 3007wfp hc for about 750-850 (they pop up every now and then on Dell Outlet or here on H and 2x2001fps from ebay for $100.00 a piece

The problem with the 2001fp is that the stand / bezel style isn't the same as the 3007wfp. Which is a problem for the OCD folks out there, like yours truly. :D

What kind of panel is in the 2007fp?

The 2007fp's have a black bezel, similar as the 3007, not the silver one on the 3008. I got my 3007 from Dell Outlet for $650 with a coupon a while ago.
