I am not sure which I like better. I like the samsung monitor better, but I like the dual monitors on an arm better. Get another samsung and put them on an arm. Then we are talking

The Dell 3007 is better for input lag if you are worried. It has no scalar chip, and therefore minimal lag. Of course this means if you want to run anything but native resolutions, your card does the heavy lifting which isn't usually an issue. It does mean the only inputs are DVI.

The W3000H uses a newer version of the same panel in the 3007. So it is a better choice.

Yeah the panels newer, but I'm curious to see if that makes a huge difference over the ability to get the Dell 3007 from Dell Outlet for $700 with coupons...

The wheel stand pro is not as stable as a solid table, but it's fine for manual play. Unless you shift from gear 3-4 every .5 sec like a madman.. LOL

It only took 2 weeks for it to come from poland to singapore... D:

Here's mine (although I plan on pulling my cherry wood finished desk out and staining it black, to match the rest of my "theme"..

1. Pioneer 5.2 surround system via optical out from my PC (500 watts + 250 watts per 12" sub = total system wattage @ 1000 watts).
2. The black entertainment unit is from Ashley.
3. The desk is solid but old.. needs a fresh stain job. Anyone recommend someone in the DFW Texas area?
4. New Antec 902 / Core i7 860 build ~ see specs in my signature.

** I apologize for the poor quality pics and sad wire management.. LOL **

ok badass. explain the speaker setup with the three center channels and two left and right channels. thats not 5.1 without the surrounds behind you is it?

It's an attractive setup, but large speakers that close to you isn't exactly a good thing for accurate sound reproduction ...

Thanks.. Yes, in the sense of actual 5.1 (or in my case, 5.2), the rear fill speakers are not behind me. They are in front of me. The center channel is in the correct position. The left and right rear speakers are actually on the left and right of the center channel. I simply do NOT have the room or patience to run a set of rear firing speakers (especially at the point of pissing my wife off while she is sleeping). This big thing is in my bedroom. It measures 10 foot across and 6 1/2 foot tall. My 42" LCD looks tiny.

The large side speakers aren't really too big.. They are dual 6 1/2" and a tweeter per Pioneer tower speaker. Yes, techically, it isn't the most accurate sound stage for reproduction but I sure wish you could sit in my chair and play some Call Of Duty 4. All I can say is this: OMFG! ..haha! When a grenade lands next to me, I feel like I am really taking some fire.. it is simply incredible for gaming!

Well I understand not running the wires to the back and pissing off the women. However, on a boring sunday afternoon, running wires along one side of the wall to the rear and tearing up a the carpet between the door jams isn't really all that hard to do. just mash it back down to the carpet nails Throw a couple wire hiding devices up the wall behind the bed and you are all set with the rear speakers on a dainty cute shelf with some fake ass plant or something. That's what won my girlfriend over. She got to pick the shelving, and now my rear speakers have pictures of us surrounding them. Everyone wins.

it did take about 100 feet of speaker wire to get both speakers connected though. going all the way around the room pushing the wire between the wall and the floor with a flathead screwdriver is kinda a pain in the ass. but once its done, its done forever!

@OfficerM

That is an awesome looking entertainment system, I love the clean lines of that particular furniture, but I cannot see it working as a computer setup. While it would be great from about 10' away as a home theater, using it in a nearfield scenario throws off too many things to make for an immersive environment. While it may be impressively loud and some what immersive, the positioning would not be accurate, the wave from your subs will not develop until it is behind you, having three centers has to be driving the channel of your amp into dangerous ohm loads and most of the action has to sound as if it is following you.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to dog your system, I just think it could be better utilized in an HT setup. You would really need to do some comparisons with a properly set up 5.1 monitor / bookshelf system (designed for nearfield) to experience what I'm talking about.

heres my updated setup. i got a new 37inch hdtv. i got a new stand for it $35 :D
