Looking at all these pics has me jealous. im thinking its time for a complete over haul of our computer room. i like the modern look. or the asian/korean style...it looks "cool" to me and clean. Its more of a modern looking i would like to go for.

i have a lot of dragon and eagle statues and im thinking of going ahead and selling those as well. ive had them forever. im picky and would like it to be a lot neater. ive seen a lot of awesome rooms in this thread that have gave me some great ideas.

^^ thats no lcd.

EDIT:

I see it now to the right of the CRT very difficult to spot intially IMO.

@illuminate: What's that keyboard you have?

You know, i really feel bad in thsi thread... Ive got all my stuff... to me, it seems pretty nice... but unless you live in Korea.. you cant really get it.

Its just a random keyboard that i got.. haha sorry man.

Just got the speakers earlier this week, pardon the wiring is still little messy gotta take the time and redo all my wiring...it's a project lol ;)

MFDOOM1 is that the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite Pro breakout box? funny, thats what i came here looking for reviews for, lol. how do you like it? and also, i have that same monitor, sweet eh! :D

PC.jpg

D-oh!! i see it in your sig now. :)
BT! as for the breakbox is pretty sweet, its nice to have all the inputs, since i just moved i get to hook my digital piano to it to start working on some beats. Unfortunately i had to put that wonderful desk in storage since moving across country is expensive! No biggie though, i have plans to a desk mod, and trust me its gonna be sweet! Lastly, the monitor is awesome! best purchase i have made, but i want bigger! I am thinking about getting a 30" ( not sure what yet), To add for a dual display.

I'm interested in a corner desk with a hutch kinda like the picture below but that Bush Somerset model (veneered) has like a 1/8 inch laminate back panel that flexes, perfect desk except for that fact. Anyone know of some other popular "economy" desk brands I could look at? Ikea doesn't seem to like that style :(

as soon as i have the xtra $ i'm going to get the elite pro. :D
bummer about the desk, its a nice looking unit, i'm in Ontario if you need somewhere to "store" it. hehehe J/K :p
bigger is nice too, i have a 37" toshiba that i play COD4 on sometimes for fun but i mainly just play on the 24", its the perfect size imo. :)

do it man! the cool thing now is that creative released drivers that now allow dts and dolby surround so it helps if ya got it a 5.1 system going.

That's an FP241VW... it is coming back in stock at the Benq online store in a few days if you want to get one. Use the coupon code "thankyou10" for 10% off.

its kinda sad when i just got a 3007wfp-hc and it pales in comparison to most of the setups in this thread :(

btw I'm selling my 2405fpw if anyone in San francisco is interested :)

i would like to know more about that Benq. any got a review link or something of that nature. im still looking for a replacement for my 305t. i know it will be smaller but it looks nice and would probably be a lot better quality for gaming, etc.

Remember people. its not the size of your setup that matters, its how you use it, how its set up, how clean it is, and how cool it looks.

ambient lighting always helps a setup :)

Just got the Swan M-10's, I need to clean up all the cables obviously, but thats for another day, for now I am just enjoying the swans. for less than $100 they were a great value!

the thing stopping me from wanting two monitors is the sides. i just cant get past it. does it bug any of you guys when watching a movie or playing a game. it would "cool" to have such a big/wide picture but the lines of the monitors being pushed together seems horrible to me.

ive never used two or three monitors together before though...anyone tell me plese. what do you think about it. how is it for gaming ? because i was thinking maybe i could buy 3
dell 2408WFP how awesome/good would that be gaming on?

usually you wouldn't stretch a game or movie across the two monitors. the great thing about multiple displays is that you can be watching a movie on one monitor while you do work on the other, or chat, or play a game! it's the multitaskers that love the dual displays.

or, some games support using two monitors for different views/UI's (best example are flight simulators).

Yeah that's true, I don't play games over both my monitors becouse If i play Cod 4 I will get the aim in the middle of the monitors, so if you get 3 monitors it would be better :p

thank you for the input. you have helped me narrow my decision down some more. dual/triple isnt for me. i game and browse the web, but i have no need for more than one monitor then. i dont think i would like the lines between and i would have no multitasking use for them.

right now i "think" im still trying to decide between the dell 3007wfp-hc or the 2709. im worry about the input lag and the stretching of pixels on the 2709.

ive been posting and reading like crazy about monitors. i know all of you have seen it. i really appreciate all the help ive been getting. im learning a lot in the process. i never thought it would be so hard to decide....i know im being picking though too. dont mean to be a pain in the rear end either. i just want to be sure i make a good decision because i wont have the money to buy another LCD like this for who knows how long...im sure you know what i mean by that.

No problems jdbron_82 , but I've got my secend monitor for just some days ago and that was the best thing I've done :D I play games often and play just on one monitor but I love how to use the secend monitos at the same time for Msn or webbpage . Beacuse I wanted a bigger screen just when I was chatting and not for gaming (I don't have a good graphic gard) so 19" is perfect for gaming and 2 x 19" like I have is just true love when you chatting and are using many webbsites :p

thanks for the info. does sound nice but i dont think i would use it enough to justify the purchase. i like to play pc games and i wouldnt mind hooking my ps3 up to the LCD either.

Im looking really hard at the Dell 2709 though. im so closing to picking it but the comments about input lag and the stretched pixels bother me. im about to say F it though and just get it..

also have any of you seen this desk before ? im thinking about buying it too. it looks pretty awesome to me. i wonder about the quality and etc.

Here my setup as of today:
Shuttle Core 2 Duo
NEW HP Tx2500z
Neoware Torrent machine

Also, what I really hate is my parents; they are smokers, and I've noticed my 22" to be more yellowish compared to my 19" when i got them :(. Make me sad, I spend alot on LCD's and machines, all destroyed by my parents :(
