do you have a center speaker hiding somewhere in there?

I do actually.... it used to be on the desk itself sense center and surrounds should be at ear level if at all possible.... but now i have two options.... on the floor (where it's at now) or mount it above the 37" which might take some work....... my receiver has auto eq so i just plug in the microphone that it comes with and it calibrates all the speakers to the distance of the sweet spot etc.... i'll see how it does under the desk which might work out well for movies.... gaming is a different story.... maybe i'll mount it on the wall soon.

Hey, I noticed you had the z-line series desk from Staples. How stable is the Dell 20" on that ergotron mount on the end there?

The reason I ask is because I have the same desk as you and the weight limit is 25 lbs on that section of the desk, I have the same mount as well, tried putting it on, but heard a creaking sound and took it off.

NICE ! But you should remove that white opening from desk .

That desk is years old and I am actually getting a new desk very soon. The handles were originally silver but over the years they have worn down the silver metallic paint stuff on the outside and worn down to the white plastic :)
You can still see the original colour of the silver handle on the handle on the bottom draw, which I dont use very often. The top draw handle is half silver, half white

Might be because I have more weight on the table than you? I have a 32" sharp tv which weighs 45lbs on the long piece of the desk and the particle board (from a distance) looks to be bending from a distance. I neglected to put the small shelf on the section because of the tv. The desk isn't going to cave in or anything, but when I assembled the desk I noticed that the corner had a weight limit of 25lbs and I tried putting another ergotron mount on the desk, but the desk didn't seem to like it haha. If anything, I can always ask z-line for another desk leg to make it more secure, but yeah just wondering how well the desk is holding up for you on that corner.

^^ make sure Bo calls the DMV. ;)

nice LCD you have there.. love the black lacquer finish bezel on those.. very slick.

Thanks, "Bo" appreciates the comments.

Actually, I'm not crazy about the piano finish of any electronic appliances. But it does look nice if there's no dust or finger prints on it.

Well, that's just it.. it's nice for something you don't plan on touching a lot.. but like on my (former kb) Razer Tarantula I was having to wipe it down constantly because of all the finger prints.. grrrrrr...

I re-examined it and it could be an issue over time so i repositioned it on the main table closer to the 30 with the top of the clamo over lapping the corner piece and now its real solid and looks much better I might add. Thanks for the observation

response like its wired. the only that would've made it perfect would be a number pad. but since I dont use that too much, I'm going to get a wireless number pad. This kb is a lot better than I thought it would be.

Well, after lurking around for a few months and upgrading my computer (From a 400 mhz beige box, and a 17" CRT:) ), I am ready to post!

Here is my complete setup:

http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/3735/fullsetuplz2.jpg

Left to right, westinghouse 19" widescreen. Westinghouse 22" widescreen, old CRT monitor stand for my laptop. The mouse and keyboard are the logitech wireless S530 set. The speakers are Klipsch Promedia 2,1, The figure near the left speaker is Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII. The figure on the CRT Stand is Scar, from the Lion King, The figure on the right is Vincent Valentine, from Final Fantasy VII. The left case is my PSP. The Black MP3 player is a Samsung YT-K5, with folding speakers. Nest is a First Gen. ipod shuffle. Then a 4th generation ipod is sitting in front of a Dell Axim. To the right of that is a USB Hub. My laptop is a Macbook pro 2.33 ghz with a 15" screen.

Here is the left speaker, and Sephiroth.

Here is the PSP and the Samsung mp3 player. The PSP is in a logitech hard case with a custom sephiroth insert made by me. Oh, and the remote is for my X-10 system which uses the electric wiring in the house to control lighting and appliances.

Here is the Axim, the ipods and the apple remote. The ipod is in a Speck tough skin case.

Here is the CRT stand that I am using as my laptop stand. The little stand on top of it is The XT stand. (Google it)

The CRT Stand can extend out and rotate.

The right speaker, and Vincent Valentine. He absolutely defies being photographed. I gave up after 5 tries.

I plan to get rid of the 19" monitor soon and get a second 22" monitor and a Matrox dual head. :D

And where is my laptop, you say? My laptop is in the shop, getting a bad wireless card replaced. Luckily it's still under warranty. It would drop connections after about 2 hours of downloading a large file.

Oh well, I suppose it could be worse. :p I'm amazed at how fast I got stuff. I had my old setup mentioned at the beginning in the middle of June. One month later, and about $3,500 later, I'm here. (I didn't buy it all, the 22" monitor and the laptop were graduation presents.) I already had the ipods, Samsung, Axim, and PSP. I bought the action figures, the 19" monitor, and got the CRT stand from work.

P.S. The silver dial is a griffin powermate.

Love this setup i have a new idea for my new setup...what laptop and monitor do u have there? EDIT: was looking at sony laptops and found out it is the new Sony TZ right?

Thanks.

Been using that desk for over 10 years now. When I move out next year, I will be getting a Galant series from Ikea, they just look so clean and they're not expensive.

The laptop is the TZ and the monitor is the samsung 32" 3251 TV. Its nice for games and browsing, but it still can't substitue for a computer monitor. I plan on either a Dell 24" or 30" and just use this for a TV which is one of the best I have seen.

Galant's are great..but in hindsight I should have picked the T-Leg, so when adjusting you only have to do it twice and not FOUR:mad: lol minor annoyance really though
