There's a pic of the back, as you can see no stand ... the monitors are holding each other up with just a small amount of hot glue on the top and bottom where the 2 meet. also on the bottom of each monitor I placed 2 small clear rubber feet...(like the ones you would use on cabinet doors) you can see that in the first picture.

That's very ingenious, very nice!

New iteration on my 3x30" mount. Now I can pull the group of monitors towards me or retract them if I want to use the desk surface. It's built from 8020 aluminum scraps and a monoprice mount.

That mount is ridiculously heavy duty ;) Nice job there, and a beautiful desk too.

First post :D

Nice setups here!

Why did you remove the backs? It doesn't look like you debezelled the front (which may have been an idea to try).

This is a gorgeous setup. Just curious, what do you do to use all three 30" monitors?

Dag landgenoot ;)

@AlecMoody: Nice monitor stand. Did you use one Monoprice stand, or did you combine two to have the arms in both directions?

Can you pull the entire setup by a corner of one of the side monitors?

I myself am have been looking for a 20"-30"-20" monitor stand, but I can't really find something that looks great.

What rack stand is that? I have been looking for something minimal to hold some gear. is it sturdy?

Thought the thread was show your lcds not your guns. Very brave move considering there was this guy on Doomsday Preppers who showed his guns and next thing you know the police put him in a mental asylum and took away his firearms!

You might be on a fbi list if you ...

Its one monoprice mount- this model:
http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10828&cs_id=1082806&p_id=6517&seq=1&format=2

I'm not using the parts for the vesa mount because they are enormous.

the 3 monitors and swivel arm only weigh about 100lbs but the weight is cantilevered so far foward that you need a very strong mount. I started with a mount rated for 130lbs but it sagged badly. Also, getting things to work correctly was much more involved than it might seem. Both the monoprice mounts I had were not level between the wall mounting holes and where the monitors mount. There was a lot of rebuilding and tweaking to get the final line of monitors level. Also, the tilt adjustment mechanism wants slightly change angle depending on how the side monitors are angled. I had to use some bolts and flat stock to keep the mechanism stuck in place.

Greetings all. New to speaking in these forums, but I've been [H] for a few years and seen this excellent thread on the home page a few days back, thought I'd join in.

3x24" running 6010x1080 bezel corrected. They're just Tn panels. Went and got some 2x8s and a 2x6 with some hardware and attached the homemade monitor bracket to the desk. Those mounts were a great deal at Newegg some time ago at $20 each with free ship, think they are made by Rosewill, but not sure.
It's Surround (not Eyefinity), but I have options. As simply as plugging an HDMI cable in, I can game on the 46" (1080p) with one 24" as an extended or can game at tri 1080 while watching the boob tube or whatever on the 46".

Stay Hard! ;)

Q

I like the clever mounting set up with the piece off of your hutch. Could use a little more cable management, but otherwise, pretty sweet setup!

Also, I try not to "stay hard" for more than 4 hrs at a time... otherwise, I have to call a physician which can be rather embarrassing

Thanks much fellas :)

Deinos, may I suggest a page from Charlie Harper's book, after 4 hrs, just call another woman :D

My old setup, vizio 42" hdtv, sony vaio laptop left hand side, alienware aurora r2 main system, picked that up off dell's scratch and dent section with a 25% off coupon, came to $914 shipped, i7-2600k, liquid cooled, 16gb ripjaw 1600, 2x1tb hd's, 875 watt power, visiontek radeon hd 6870, bluray drive, cd/dvd drive, very happy with that purchase.

Saw way too many 30" dells on this site, shopped dfs for a while and found a 3007wfp-hc yesterday at a pawn shop via craigslist ad with 3 years left on the warranty and was in incredible shape for $400, so here is my current setup until I can find two 2007fp's to add when I can get them for a decent price.

Crappy Iphone pic incoming...

Best purchase I've made in a while, this monitor is incredible, can't wait to join the PLP 20" +30" +20" club!

$400 for a 3007wfp?! I want to murder someone. I paid $840 shipped for my new open box ZR30w and thought THAT was an amazing deal.

Are there any dead pixels/scratches?

Also, what are you using for lighting?

No scratches or dead pixels, this thing is mint! I couldn't believe it either, made him an offer and he took it, packed my new to me 3007wfp-hc in the Tahoe and left.

Led's are mounted in 4 individual strips mounted via double sided tape on the back, from ikea, $30. Very happy with them, mounted the switch via tape to the underside of the desk, went for the totally hidden wiring look, lots of zip tys.

Can't wait to get a couple 2007fp's to compliment the 30".

Switched from 3 24in Asus for some Nvidia Surround to 1 30in Dell U3011. Loving the new screen, much clearer from the older monitors.

Started messing around with some HDR with my Canon 550D.

Nice Caselabs case. And yeah, going from 3 smaller monitors in Eyefinity/Surround to 1 30" IPS is a big jump. I'm so glad I ditched my plans for 3 U2311H and just splurged on a ZR30w. Easier to manage, better image quality, no bezels in the way during gaming.

Is that an air filter or a fan near your case? If it's a filter - have you noticed a difference in the dust levels?

Welcome to the 30" club :)

I had 3x 2312hms I hated it. This is better, granted some games run fine in PLP using softTH but I dont mind just playing on the single 30" on newer DX11 games.

Yea, it's one of those ionic breezes. Picked it up a few years back. It works pretty damn good but they aren't cheap. The nice thing is that you don't have to replace the filters. You can just wash it off in a sink, dry it off and pop it back in. That is why I picked it up.

The dust in the room has never been a problem but I am pretty anal about keeping stuff clean.
