kinda...you have a tv....the Westinghouse that everyones buying(LVM W3) is a monitor...you have a nice display...but dare i ask what your paid for it?

It's also a very good pc monitor (vga/component (& dvi) connection)

£1049 btw

Think I got it setup the way I want it, now. Monitors are angled inwards for better viewing. Still looking for a decent shelfy-thing to go next to my desk to put my HTPC on.

Retaliation: where did you get that SR71 wallpaper?

British pound to US dollar... it's about 2:1. Ya, that thing is $2k.

First post. I've been reading the Displays forum for some time now. Finally pulled the trigger on the Acer 22" after comparing it to the Viewsonic and the Samsung.

Mr.D, how do you like the acer 22"? does it have any sort of problems like backlight bleeding or ghosting in games or of that sort?

So far I like it a lot. I bought it for 3 reasons: it is supposed to have the best "out-of-the-box" colour reproduction, I am using an LCD arm so had no need to pay for the expensive HAS on the Samsung, and to me it looks the best out of the similarly priced 22"ers.

I have played a few hours of CS Source and haven't noticed any ghosting at all, in fact, I'm blown away at how good this monitor is for FPS. Backlight bleed is a bit of a problem. I haven't decided whether or not I'm going to exchange it.

It is not noticeable during games or everyday use. The only time I notice it is if I watch a dvd or there is a static dark screen where you would obviously notice it at the bottom (black backgrounds are out of the question). Actually, the reason I joined the forum was to get some peoples opinion on the bleed. What do you think?

lol ampedxc27 I like that Geek Squad cup. I work with the GS and I have so much of their stuff

Hey guys... just got this all setup and thought i'd like to add to all the great looking LCD setups i've seen here.... Thanks for posting everyone. If anyone has some feedback on what might make my setup look nicer please let me know. I do appreciate it. I'm planning on either getting a glass desk or black desk but have no clue which one to get.... i think I need to be sitting a little further away... any ideas? Thanks

Dude, what on earth are you doing with all of that nice hardware, and that piece of crap power strip? Buy a UPS.....sheesh. ;)

ah man i have that monitor...wanting to do the dual..but havent found one as cheap as the one i got....

tripmachine, what LCD do you have?

I'm using the olevia 237v 37" it's only 720p but it will do for now. I really like it for now... Maybe i'll sell it to one of my buddies soon and get a westy 37" but this is actually doing fine for me now. I was thinking about mounting it on the wall...... but i want to be able to run it....i want it to be facing this direction because i have a couch off one direction and my bed the other... So i want to be able to adjust it depending on where people are sitting. It's actually setup in the direction that works for the couch and the bed. anyway to corner mount it?? lol maybe a wall mount that has an arm ? Thanks guys..

what kinda chair is that looks really comfy

The chair is made by a company called Gamepod and it comes with 2-25watt speakers at the headrest, and a wireless amp built into the base with a 25' range. It also has a embedded tactile sub-woofer in the seat that reacts to all the action in the game, or watching a movie. The company claims it's the same technolgy used by theme parks and the US military fight simulators. The web site is www.iwantgamepod.com cost about $800. I added the casters to the chair because I needed it roll.

Hello Tripmachine.

Is that a LCD TV?

Which resolution does the LCD work on PC?

I guess that the better way is to tie it at the wall.
