Bingo!M11 said:Why not download the full install over HTTP (tends to be faster and more reliable than autoupdate) and keep SP2 around on a CD for future installs?

While anyways i have home edition and when i downloaded Sp2 the home edition disappeared on the windows screen when i loaded my computer. And it started slower so i uninstalled it. I am willing to give it another try but is it worth it? Or is Sp2 just not compatible with Dell computers?

The first time you launch Windows after installing SP2, yes - it will be slow. Your system is coming to terms with all of the changes made.
If, after the first time booting up (and a subsequent reboot), it still runs slowly: check for viruses and spyware.
