When I say Sears “borrowed” images from Newegg, I mean they flat out ripped the image from Newegg and hoped no one would notice. Too bad they didn’t borrow Newegg’s $10 cheaper price and $8.99 shipping. Thanks to SidewinderX for the find!

Actually i think 'Sears' had nothing to do with it... it was most probably some employee with no patience for image hunting and even less common sense.

So yeah, Sears.

Something done by an employee of a company = something done by said company

Would have been very funny if Sears had hotlinked the image and NewEgg had a script in-place to show horsepoon instead of the intended image. :p

Now that would be downright unprofessional....

How can you say they are the same? They have different images on the screen and the pics on NewEgg have a reflection on the bezel!!

um.. perhaps the Newegg WATERMARK on the Sears site image?
Bad case of laziness. I'm sure the manufacturer has pictures they could use.

Actually I was Just kidding!! I saw the Newegg watermark!! I was just posting what Sears would say if asked!! LOL

Sears new web site is a complete and utter balls-up anyway. It's impossible to do any effective shopping there.

I must be retarded or blind but the Newegg pics and the Sears pics are entirely different...

For a little while you could go to the Sears site and put in the item number and it would bring up the item in the search Window with Newegg's watermark in the center of the LCD screen on Sears.com

When I tried to open it, it told me that the link was no longer available. I think they figured out they screwed up :O

This is piracy, and it's even for profit. So why doesn't Newegg sue Sears for millions?

I agree, it's like they hired a team to search the web for the crappiest retail sites, and incorperated the worst part of each. It aint easy to suck that bad!

I can't tell now that the link doesn't work, but was this an actual Sears item? They are now allowing 3rd party sellers to sell their wares on Sears sites and it's hard to tell whether you're dealing with Sears or not - could it be one of those 3rd party vendors and not Sears itself?

I came across an ebay auction one time that was stealing newegg's photos. I did the chat thing with da 'egg and the rep didn't seem to care. He/She/It actually seemed bothered that I even notified them. I just cancelled the chat.

They're STILL using it, lol. Search 2009m at sears. The page for the monitor is down, but you can still see the watermark at the link.

I was just at sears.com

Those monitors still show the newegg watermark in the thumbnails,
but when you click the link it goes to "page not found". They know
they screwed the pooch.

Someone in the Sears IT Department just created an opening for web designer

Haha, yeah... and it even says "From Sears" so it's not a third-party seller.

Wait, back the truck up...

Sears has "Amazon'd" itself and now sells the same product itself, as well as from many affiliate merchants. I wonder if this happened because of this, and is totally on the up and up?

I see the watermark in the Sear's image, but Newegg's website does not have a watermark on that image.

So I think Newegg must've changed their images...
