I nominated RE2 for game of the year on the Steam AwardsHonestly can't wait, RE2 remake is my favorite game this year. Hopefully this game isn't rushed because of the reception RE2 received.
What in this list is GOTY material? This is all the games released on EGS this year and no where else.I wasn't sure what to nominate because all the good stuff went to Epic this year it would of been Metro Exodus but I own the Epic version.
Makes me wonder if they plan to remake RE4 next. They've repackaged it plenty of times, but it's still genuinely tough to go back to if you're used to more modern takes on 3rd person shooters. Yet at the same time it's probably still too modern to remake yet.
I'd be more interested in RE8, 7 was fantastic... Keep that trend moving forward.
Hopefully with VR support again. RE7 was fantastic with VR. RIP Xbox 4.Yeah, I agree with that. I also liked 7 a lot and would welcome more of that storyline. As long as different teams are working on these projects, I don't really care if they remake the old games, too.
I have a feeling that RE8 is going to be tied to the PS5/Xbox4.
RE 7 and RE2 Remake have propelled RE as a franchise from B-grade pseudo-horror shovelware to honestly one of the best Survival-Horror game series available (again).
I really hope lightning can strike thrice.

Seems like they are the only ones who can create a multiplatform engine that works well on everything. But I have a feeling that's because it's not very portable for more diverse gaming simulations. It certainly serves Capcom's niche well, though.I’ve said it before but I’m going to say it again...I wish Capcom would start to license their engines out. If they have a good toolset I see no reason MTframework and RE Engine couldn’t compete with Unreal. Their games look great and run phenomenal.
Except for patching out DX10 from Resident Evil 5 for some reason. 5 freaking years after it came out... DX10 works perfect in Lost Planet, too, which uses the same engine, so:Related to Capcom's engines - they have also become a premier PC developer. Back in the late 90's and early 00's they were one of the worst. Yet ever since Lost Planet their stuff has been great. Good performance, lots of options to tweak, solid post-release support, and good audio/visuals.
RE7 with VR gave me massive anxiety. Not because it was bad, but because that game is f’d up. Awesome experience though.Hopefully with VR support again. RE7 was fantastic with VR. RIP Xbox 4.

Man, I’ve been instructed to put orange cones around a hulking 80’ JLG boom lift to indicate caution before.....the lift itself is also orange as fuck. And beeps when it moves.lol those fucking CAUTION stickers on its trench coat
Like it being a 7 foot tall, 500 pound hulking ass bio-mutant with a rocket launcher and kielbasa sized veins doesn't make it obvious enough that it was born to fuck shit up
Can't really tell because you can't see below her hips. They did give Claire full length jeans in the RE2 remake, though, while she wore shorts in the original. So I wouldn't be surprised. Regardless, no matter how you moved the game camera you couldn't see below the character's waist, anyway.I wonder if they changed Jill's mini skirt
And how much you having camera control now impacted the decision...
Smaller tits? I'm offended. I'm out.
Yet rounder, still you can make a Jill Sandwich! I'm all in!
RE2 was great until MR X showed up. After the police station hes easier to get rid of. But jesus what a pain in the ass.Getting tired of the "invincible big bad guy chases you around the levels" in horror games. It's more annoying that fun at this point. Will probably wait for the modders to release a mod which gets rid of him, like they did with Mr X in the previous title.

In interviews they said that Nemesis chases you in different ways. I have a feeling he will be smarter than Mr. X and it won't feel like he's on your dick all the time. That one scene in the trailer where he dropped through the ceiling looked real time, which is going to be real interesting to deal with. I don't know if my heart could take it, lolThe Nemesis was a major part of RE3. It's even in the title. I am curious how they handle him this time. He was tough to take down but you could take him down and even got a special reward for doing so in the original. Given how they handled Mr. X I have a feeling they will be changing it.
