PS4 launch edition

I sold mine honestly because of all the game delays. I was really looking forward to a few games this holiday but decided it's not worth keeping. I'll pick mine up in Spring when they put out revision 2, uncharted metal zone last edition.

Sadly there is stock at all 3 places I checked out this morning...

My Walmart has them, but it's a small rural area. Not a whole lot of people grab them on launch day, much less afterwards.

Live in a smaller metro area the 10 Walmarts within search distance all have stock.

I live in a decent size area (500,000+ in approx. 50 mile corridor) and all three major Wal-marts in the area have stock.

Don't trust the Walmart website I went to two different stores that listed it as in stock and both were out and had been since last night.

I think we all knew this was going to happen. All those press releases with Sony saying to companies to take as many pre-orders as possible showed that the off the shelf configuration that next-gen consoles use made manufacturing these consoles that much easier.

lol I have a buddy that paid 600.00 for a pre-order PS4 on Craigslist about a week or two ago. All the Walmarts near me have them in stock :p

i tell ya, wait until december 23 to sell it. chances are stores won't have a truck load of them come in and people will be forced to look on CL.

Ill sell mine if the prices skyrocket. If they dont, the kid gets it for Christmas. Win, win. He doesnt NEED a console by any means but if he gets one, itll be a good present.

Sold out around me...Was able to sell mine as soon as it was delivered for $600 on CL...$200 profit was too much for me to risk more stock coming for XMAS.

Everyone else had them listed for $750+ which was retarded...

so there is nothing special about the "launch edition" at all? wow there are some idiots out there to pay over MSRP for this then. lol I was just in one of the BB stores here looking at laptops and there were tons of PS4 consoles there and nobody was even looking at them.

so after ive extensively dissected the ebay market ps4 trends - the profits are f'in pitiful. members are selling their ps4's for 570-650.

now incorporate 13% fee between ebay and paypal (ebay - 10% & paypal 3%) your getting wacked with a 75-85 dollar fee.

so lets do the math. we'll take the highest offer.

$650 x .13 = $85 in fees
$650 - 85 = $565

now as a seller the cost to me was 400 PLUS TAX (im connecticut, my tax rate is .0635)

400 + tax = $425..... Thus 565 - 425 = $140 profit *ADD SHIPPING OOPS* lets say 20$ for shipping and tracking etc

profit $120.

is it worth the line wait, generally speaking, gas, time, and all the effort to ship it out ...eh i dont think so.

i sold it locally for $500. netting me $80 bucks..im getting drunk tonight guys later lol

Plus the possible risk that a buyer will raise a dispute, yeah not worth it. I think a lot of people were hoping this would be a repeat of the PS3 with consoles selling for over $1k.

Unless there is a shortage later I can't see that happening. The thing is these consoles are a lot easier to mass produce as most of the parts are off the shelf, not entirely custom like the PS3.

Exactly. What was even worse was I wasnt thinking and changing the shipping to a state where Amazon has a warehouse makes you incur sales tax when you otherwise wouldnt. So then youre looking at another $30 or so gone. I think I only netted about $100 on my first PS4 on EBay. Learned my lesson after that..

I live in a big city, PHX ,AZ and they have them in stock at frys electronics. nIf you don't know what frys is its the big warehouse electronics store we have.. like a microcenter but more expensive. The 400$ version too
once Xmas rolls around there might be a chance for price gouging but I recall hearing that they made enough to try and keep stock issues from happening

My local walmart and best buy still have em! silly OP

You all must live in some podunk ass places. No where has them in stock withing a 100 mile radious here...At least checking online thats what it says...they are also sold out on the BB/Walmart website,

Then again we don't have a frys or MC here. We do have a shitty ass compusa but thats not even remotely close to a frys or MC.

I live in an area with 500,000+ people in a 50 mile corridor and every Walmart in the area had stock yesterday afternoon. Hardly a "podunk ass place."

And? Just because your city has stock doesn't mean everywhere else does.
