Post your "rate my cables" here

HTPC build is nice.. really like that case.. But why go with such a nice MB? seams like way over kill for what it's being used for.

Holy shit, please do tell me what that case is, a project just came to my head as a audiophile music server companion for my Nitro Pro.

Got it for a good price that's all really. Figured the extra connectivity would come in handy, and besides I'm not the one who bought it (the HTPC was for my uncle) so it's not too big of a deal haha.

I under stand that. The mini pc I just built my customer paid a bit extra for it just to be smaller. Now days people want small and cute or out of the way. No one wants the big cases any more.

Posted in storage thread, but took a while on cabling so here it is also

Love the case. PSU cables a little short, but meh, all works.

The Lian Li is an exceedingly hard case to work with as there's no room and I had the genius idea of removing every single obstruction between the front intakes and, well, anything else which means I can't really 'hide' anything per se.

Finally we have reached the penultimate update of the silent Lian Li! I got my Arctic Cooling S1 Plus heatsink at last and installed it a few nights ago. I thought their G1 thermal adhesive was going to be hard to work with as after I applied pressure and let go, the VRM sinks slid around, but luckily after curing for a few hours they didn't fall off and I was able to mount the actual VGA sink. First off, it's BIG, but not ginormously so, thus most cases will be able to swallow it. Secondly you really do have to check the heights of any capacitors on the board itself, as it JUST clears the tops of the capacitors on my MSI 7770:

View from the front intakes, relatively unimpeded, straight to the two passive sinks. I may build a duct for the bottom fan to channel air directly to the GPU and out the exhaust, but temps look fine at the moment, we'll see.

I used MSI's Kombustor to stress the GPU for an hour, and as you can see the max temps reported by Afterburner (and Hardware Monitor) was around 75C (it plateaued there and wouldn't go higher, and in fact started to drop).

I had some braided wire left over from suspending my Ninja and used it to brace the GPU sink as well. Instead of drooping down, it hangs perfectly parallel.

Close!

Not particularly, my fans are running at 400 or so RPM (so not quite 'silent'), it's the dust that I hate lol, that's why everything is covered in filters.

What filter material do you use and where do you purchase it? I've been looking for rolls of material I can use as a dust filter but large enough so I can cut pieces to size (at least 120mm wide and long)

I still need a 8 pin 12v extension and I want to take out the hot swap bay and put all three of my HDs in at once right in the path of the 2 120mm intakes.

Am I blind? I don't see a Samsung F3 in there? Where did you hide it?

Looks awesome though! I need to get my storage server made so I can get all these HDDs out of my case and make it look pretty like that.

Blind. Looks like he has it at the top 5.25 bay.

Maybe it's not fair using a PicoPSU, but on the other hand, it's a rather small case too. Streacom F1C.

Correct, F2 in the top bay mounted in a 5.25->3.5 bracket with the 520 right underneath it.

Got a new hsf, bit of a tight squeeze....thinking about how to rearrange things. I can put the STX below the 7950, but that will restrict airflow to the gpu. I tried dropping the 7950 to the bottom slot but the power/reset headers get in the way-won't clear the heatsink shroud :(

Sorry for the shit quality. My main camera took a dump and haven't replaced it yet, so here is an awesome shot from my iPhone...

Just finished this a few weeks ago. Spent way too long (and spent too much money) on fan choice and noise/airflow tuning.

By the gods, gorgeous computer! Will you please us with a build log? Nice job.
