what's the fastest y'all have reached? i popped off 228 just now. and, how can i beat the game and yet it say "72% of game completed"?

ha thats nothing. i played from 7pm to 5am on wed and 12 pm to 4 am on thurs and still didnt beat it. i think total i played about 50 hours

i HEAR ya mang. I normaly never even look at driving games. i'm an fps, rpg person. I had figured I'll just buy this for the fuck of it until HL come out.

I'm now playing this more than HL2. I played HL2 for like 2 hours and back to NFSU2, LOLOL.

I had to go get a new saitek p880 from Fry's the other day since Newegg sent me used broken one :mad: . but that's another story. :p

anyways, you HAVE to playing it with a gamepad = fun fun fun. :D

Btw, I unlocked Unique turbo and unique spoiler for my Rx8. anyone unlock anything else?
 
the only unique things i have unlocked thus far are

a unique spoiler
a unique widebody kit
and a unique suspension package

im at 70% now..... with 90,000 in my bank and nothing to do with it becuase im happy with my car. haha

NOW BACK TO PLAYING>ITS SO ADDICTINGGGGGGGggggg

I'm no fan of the huge wings nor the roof scoops. Oh well.
Also, creating really nice cars is a lot more work in NFSU2 than in the original underground. Hence, I don't put much work into it. At least not until I get an Evo or Skyline

how/when did you unlock those parts?
 
all around 65% i started to do outrun races.

ive only done about 15 and i got all those parts.

Unlocked a bunch of uniques; rims, spoiler, tires, vinyl, turbo, suspension, hood, engine and transmission. Maybe I forgot something, not sure. I do a lot of outrun racing.

Does anyone know what happens with the unique parts when you replace the car?
Whats the deal with the uniques in general? Can I swap unique parts? Its kind of annoying to have all my uniques spread around on different cars.
 
thanks for the info; i'd really like to know more about them too. i myself have only done a couple outrun races and have not unlocked any 'unique' parts :)

I've done about 15 out runs and unlocked only 2...?
 
??? Theres other parts? Psh i beat the game and i dont have all the parts. thats ghey. Where do i get them? Is it those slow ricers driving around?

I love my GTO its soo freaking fast. 400hp with one turbo :D
 
i just ran at least 15 outrun races and didn't unlock a thing :confused: ! perhaps you can't unlock them if you've finished the game? perhaps you can only unlock them while in a certain stage?

well, after searching around in EA's nfsu2 forum, i found the answers to my unique upgrade question :)

Stage 2 - 4 wins - Hoods
Stage 3 - 3 wins - Engine,Transmission, or Tires
Stage 3 - 6 wins - Rims
Stage 4 - 4 wins - Spoilers
Stage 4 - 6 wins - Vinals
Stage 4 - 9 wins - ECU, Turbo, or Brakes
Stage 5 - 6 wins - Nitrous, Weight Reduction, or Suspension
Stage 5 - 11 wins - Wide Body Kits

wins referring to outrun races.

on my second profile, this list seems accurate thus far. the only drawback is it looks like the upgrades do not transfer from car to car, just like the standard upgrades.
 
i still wanna know why when i'm at 72% it tells me it's done and there's no more races. outrun races forever now?
 
your not done. did you upgrade your car? did you find the hidden races?

Started a new thread, nobody responded. I d/l the demo and there is no option for steering in the "wheel" assignment page. What am I missing? The wheel works for throttle, brake, shifting, etc.. and the wheel works in other programs.... what gives?

Parts of this game make me feel so ghetto. Can't stand the slang and 'gang' aspects of it anymore...its getting annoying. Why SMS...I feel like I am playing one big commercial for Cingular and Burgerking.

I wish they would just stick to the racing part of it, and eliminate the ricing/groupie/story aspect of the game.

I'm playing through the Xbox version right now, need to get the PC version, much better graphics.

Hey Ati_azn have you tried Target or Walmart? Last time I went to both they each had it. I just got the game this weekend and havent had the time to play too much just one race in the loaner car you get in the begining of the game! Cant wait to play more!:D
