Post your LAN Party pics!

wow, its been way to long since I have been to a lan, at least 2 years now...

I will have to organize one over winter break

New Years LAN at my house, making it a 4 year tradition to LAN into the new year. Small 2 bedroom house with 11 people for most of it, took shots at a down time with only 9 people there

Picture030.jpg

Road sign on the wall, heck yes. I love this sign because, apparently, there is just one flying rock.

Shots from front entrance going left to right 180 degrees around room
Picture031.jpg

Shot 1, gamer is Arghetlam

Picture032.jpg

Shot 2, hairy mess on the left is Karnaaj, standing w/ the guitar is doc holiday

Picture033.jpg

Shot 4 playing Rock band, Porion in black nathano in green

Picture034.jpg

Shot 3 table w/ Porion and my computers

Picture035.jpg

Shot 5, my roommate Stealth_Wombat showing his cheery side

Picture029.jpg

Rock Band thanks to howie23, on a 56" DLP thanks to me

Empty pizza boxes from the food run, green box on the floor is a delivery hot box, I love working for a pizza place. Also, getting $140 worth of pizza, stix, chicken and a sub for $20 is always a good deal, just had to help out for a bit while they were getting slammed at the pizza place.

MMMMM... Donuts

Nice pics Reaper! We have small LAN's like that about once a month, but no one was free to do one on New Year's Eve... :(

Actually, my girlfriend and doc's girlfriend were in my room playing SingStar on the PS2, and there was howie_23 and his wife, but they were out when I took the pictures, and the night before there was another of my buddies and his girlfriend over, so 4 females to 9 males, much less than an average LAN of 100% sausage

I wasn't making reference to the size of the LAN. I was talking about the number of fat guys that we have ;) Nice pix, though. What's with the red cans of bawls? I've only seen blue. New flavor? They sponsor our lans too. On the 11-12 of Jan, maybe we'll get some red in..
You're welcome to come LAN in colorado any time you like. We try to have a LAN at the Air Force academy at least once per month. Sometimes more often. Sometimes less. Nothing the size of the PDXLans. We have 40-60 people show up usually.

Ok, so this guy wasn't playing at the Lan, he was working. (One of my co-workers, working while a lan was going on right outside his office)

EDIT: Pics were much bigger than I thought, so i just linked them.

Reaper's gal Naiyo is a cutie ... and geeky and Doc's is is as well (she's getting geeky...) But I'm not allowed to say that cuz' I'm old enough to be their dad... lol.
We had about a 25% female gamer attendance when we had larger events with SpokLAN.net -- but WoW sort of killed them. We're ramping back up tho :)

Bawls are cherry Bawls. . .

yes WoW is the devil of lan parties but we are starting to gain momentum again. as tim said, and i am bringing more members come our larger events.:D

My Mini LANs consist of 3-4 people trading off on (2) different PC's.

The people that don't play eat, drink and watch others play.

We play on Public COD2 server and would create drinking games...

If you capture a flag you give out 3 drinks, if you get a headshot you give out a drink, if you bash someone give out a drink, but if you get bashed or get headshoted you have to take a drink.

During this time we play some good music off of the Harmon Kardon / JBL system, and just have a good time fraggin it up and drinking...

looks entertaining, i probably wouldnt drink for the main fact that alcohol doesnt really seem like good incentive to party honestly, i prefer to just use lots of energy drinks with a lot of increased caffiene and sugar preferably with some extra caffeine added, hehehe i kinda depend on some of the guys at our lan group getting pure caffiene from the local soda shop, good stuff.

This was a lan party me and my friends had back on December 21st 2006 (little over a year ago).

One of our friends did some DJ'ing, yes we laned to old schooll records :D.
We played Defcon, UT2003, Aoe3, and some other games. This was just our small personal close friends only LAN.
We had a HUGE lan in January 2007 for winter-een-mas which took up all 3 floors of the house we were in, I can't find pictures of that one yet but :D

Unfortunitly it also makes me sad since we haven't had a lan party since the January 2007 one. Heres to hoping to a huge ass summer 2008!

Summer '08 here I come! Our clan will be having a Members and Friends only Mega-Lan this Summer. Already have 8-9 Sponsors Lined Up. Looks like at the very least 50 people attending. Many from out of State (we are based in Texas).

Below is our Vid from Summer '07. 40 people attended that time.

[Ao1] '07 Lan

All these LAN parties need at least a pole and a stripper in the background IMO.

Yeah my buddy's bachelor party was a LAN party. I'd post pictures but cameras were forbidden.

No photos... no evidence... no problems. :D

Quakecon looks awesome, most of the lan parties have too much lighting. Lan parties DO NOT need blasting overhead fluorescent lights...

Why flame him for being a part of a christian based clan and affiliated with a christian lan? Also, why assume that you couldn't attend? Non-christians sit in the pews at every service at my church to listen and learn about Christ. They're not shunned or asked to leave. What makes you think that a christian or faith based lan would restrict those who attend? Christians aren't supposed to shun or neglect those that aren't walking with Christ. Ministry should happen everywhere and their lan is just that - a ministry.

And why make morality an issue and take a stab at the folks that attend his church? We are all sinners, christian or not.

Agreed, I'm an atheist, but just jumping on people because their Christian is bigoted and just the kind of intolerance we should be leaving behind. I dont know for sure though, maybe DarthBeavis has some other beef with the OP, in which case its another matter.

I suppose things like this go to show that human nature doesn't change because people decide to be "rational" and become atheist, atheists are unfortunately just as much open to the same faults that people always have been. The difference is each person's take on what the metaphysical implications of these faults are.

FYI, Atheists have meet ups too, not as much (for obvious reasons), but I'm sure if they had the organizational momentum then they'd be running Lan parties out of the back of their meeting halls, just seems natural. http://www.atheists.org/family/html/local_atheist_clubs.html

most videogames are NOT consistent with Christian beliefs at least those espoused by churches. If you are into games then you pretty much are into the 'worldly' and 'secular' by definition. . .unless they are playing Railroads or something like that. TF 2, COD 4, etc are not Jesus-like now are they. Stop being so damned politically correct. I am just calling it like it is. There is nothing Jesus-like when it comes to videogames. If they want to go to church and be Christains that is fine but don't go blowing smoke up everyone's rear saying the two things go together. By teh way I am NOT an athiest. I just think religions are man-made constructs to control other men. I also don't think God gives a rat' arse if you play games or not.

^^I agree^^

That one guy earlier that made a long ass post about Christianity....lol at the part where he dodges the eternal damnation question by saying, "Yeah but if you believe you are saved"....religion is a little too crazy for my liking.

Hey guys, we have a Soapbox thread if you want to keep talking about religion. The only caveat is that you have to be a paid subscriber so if you want to discuss religious topics, please take it there. If you don't want to subscribe, then take your religious discussion into PM's. Thanks!

Back on topic: The LAN groups I helped in CA and TX have galleries. You can see them here and here.

Lan's are always a blast, but gaming culture typically isn't. A day rarely goes by that I don't hear the N-word over vent/ts. I've heard it at lans too and it's more then enough to keep me away.

Here are some pics of the last JUNIEN XI - Die 11 Gebote (the 11 commandments) in Germany.

Not the biggest (651 seats) but one of the greatest LANs in Germany.

Wow. How did this issue come back up? Wrong forum for this folks.

And I didn't dodge his question - I answered it from my perspective. If you want scripture I'd be glad to post it in this thread just for it to be deleted because, as we said 3 pages ago, this is the wrong forum for it.
