Yep, fingerprints are extremely visable on the current faceplate

I really don't mind though, cause nobody ever really looks at it. Most of my friends are more interested in the headphones themselves or the M200s. N00bs!!!

I'm quite content with the current layout, so no need for a replacement. Many thanks for the offer though.

Well, it looks like I'm no longer getting the RS-1 + RA-1. 1911's Orpheus deal fell through, and he wanted to keep the combo so I let him. So now its either a new RS-1 or maybe a K1000 from TTVJ... Decisions decisions....

Agreed...It is pretty cool when the LED's are moving.

You would just have to rotate the steps to make room for the level meter circuit.

I have the Steelpad 5H as well, and I love em. I am thinking about getting a pair of Senn HD555 or 595 to go with them

Here is my little setup:

Source = PC (via X-Fi XM) & iPod 5G
Amp = Mister X cMoy
Cans = Senn PX200 (for iPod w/wo Mister X cMoy), Steelpad 5H

The velour earpads cost around $30. I contacted Pat Burns at AKG (615-620-3832) and she took my order over the phone. Only took a couple days to get them.

Nope. Not really, maby that sentence was a little over the edge and maby mine Siberia isn't in the best shape, but otherwise it's an awsome headset and by far the most price worthy headset I've tried.

Beyerdynamic 290's. Root, root for Velour earmuffs!!

Tho I usually use the Beyer 770's with that Zalman clip mic. It goes right on the 770's cord and works great for lans.

I sold a perfectly working awesome sounding A-47 to someone, and he used it with a 24v Ratshack AC wallwort instead of a DC. Needless to say, the amp was fried

the buzzing it made when i hit the power on the cmoy was one of the worst noises i think i have ever heard. In hind site, my assumption that the cmoy was beyond repair was correct i would assume...? It still powers on off of 9v battery (blue led glows) but no noise put through (fried opamp i assume, and was buffered not sure what else would fry..)

An assumption that you assume is correct?

I had 5 other people do the same thing (which is why I suggested a specific wall wart).
With one exception all it took was a opamp swap to fix it.

New stuff has arrived

Just received the the RS-1 from TTVJ a few min. ago, and they really shine with the Parasound DAC! They sound sooo sweet right out of the box, and will only sound better after time. The Parasound has blackgate caps, OPA627s and some really nice DAC chips, so it's perfect for taming the Grado's sometimes shrill highs.

The RS-1 is #2853, and has the square cutouts instead of the round where the cable hits the metal ring, which is known to cut into the cable. They are a perfect example of an RS-1 though, no "late Friday" work here! They are also very light woodtone, which I prefer. Many thanks to TTVJ (who sold out of K1000s shortly before I was ready to order)
