decapitator said:The problem I have at the moment is the Abit board you see in my Sig, I'm running SLI with my 7900GTX's but I'm using the Mod driver and it works fine, so I do not know if it will work with the 8800 just yet. I'm going to give it ago and let you guys know what gives. The 680i is due next week so that will be better. I will be right back![]()

hoop32 said:OMG! dude the fry's next to my house in arlington, texas has both the GTX for 649$ and the GTS for 499$
i went up there and the guy showd them to me but after i talked him into selling me the GTX which took me like 30 mins we went to the cash register and the damn thing wouldnt let him enter it into the cpu thus he couldnt sell it to me ( ,so i guess ima have to wait till the 8th
BTW they were the BFG brand
decapitator said:They did a manual ticket on mine to get around it, Evga on mine.

Bo_Fox said:I just noticed that Nvidia released 93.71 WHQL drivers that said they had support for the next generation of GPU's. Does it work with your 8800?
By the way, it seems that 93.71 is much more stable for my 7900GTX so far..
TheRapture said:No big deal, actually, nothing to worry about up to about 90c as long as everything is stable. These are NOT cpu's and they can take much more heat, they are designed for it.
My 7900GT, overclocked to 535/1600, with stock cooling, ran into the 82c to 85c range all the time under heavy loading...never crashed, never balked....went a year that way and now the guy that bought it is running it a bit faster even....
jcll2002 said:what 3dmark05 did he get? i cant see the images...bandwith exceeded
jcll2002 said:oh ok. thats not really that great but hopefully youre just CPU limited
I cant wait to step to one of these babies through eVGA's setup program
mike686 said:I can't wait to see what this guy with the E6600 gets.
Decapitator, can you please do benchmarks in both single and multi card mode if you can?
jcll2002 said:is he getting the cpu? or are you just fantasizing?
jesus j christ.mike686 said:I'm talking about Decapitator. He just got two 8800GTX's and he has a E6600.

decapitator said:OK 3DMark05 (17615) Temp 56c I'm off to do 06 when I get back I will figure out how to post the results.
BTW -This is with a 3.1 overclock of the 6600, with mushkin XP6400 @ 3.4.3.9
Also single card, the cards did not like the SLI mod drivers. I will try again, I'm using the drivers that came with it.

the g80 seems extremely cpu limited.mike686 said:Nice. So that's a 5,600 point gain in 3dmark05 going from a 4000+ to a E6600.
