Ordered my 7970 from Newegg!

Wow, close to/at MSRP. Damn, so tempting, but I want to see what Nvidia counters with and I want to see the Sapphire overclocked ones.

All of the 7970 are for sale. I think I am making a microcenter run tomorrow.

They'll probably stay at that price until they sell out, then the re-stock's be at higher prices. That's pretty much how it went down with the 6970 release. Limit 10 for most of those cards though, so they may have pretty good stock.

Me too, about 3 minutes ago just ordered an Asus 7970, fingers crossed that it ships.

Hmm, all the more tempting to buy it now, then. Ah, what to do... I've never bought a card at launch before.

Someone want to spot me 600$? Anyone need something I own that is 600$?? According to my doctor, I only use one kidney anyway, someone need the other one???

How about your gallbladder. Apparenately I'm going to need that removed according to mine (true story by the way). :(

Bought the Sapphire card. Had good experience with their RMA department. :)

Canceled the sapphire and switched to the Black Edition :)

good call :)

my aunt had hers removed last year. it's a pretty non-invasive surgery but still didn't look like much fun. good luck man, and enjoy the new card!

Black edition just went out of stock. Woo!!

that was quick.

question for anyone that selected the 'Newegg Next Day' shipping: did you also select the $2.99 rush processing? i forgot to do this...i'd hate for processing to hold things up. i'm an impatient bastard.

I wish I had a spare one, blood type A+? Someone I know recently had their gallbladder removed and they seem okay, I guess I could take a small hit to my digestion tract.

I'm excited most about being able to sleep tonight.

Okay, not most...but that's good news too!

OMG im so glad i bought all 3 of the last Black Editions in Stock hahahahaha

did you select 'rush processing' for your order? i've got overnight shipping but neglected to select rush processing.

After your order is charged, I don't think it matters. I shop from the egg a lot, haven't used rush processing and never experienced a delay.

Any benefit to the black edition other than a slight factory overclock of the core/memory?

Ordered with 2 day shipping.

The lesser brands only have a 2 year warranty. The Asus and Gigabyte brand have 3 years. The XFX has a limited Life time warranty. The XFX stock is the best deal because of the life time warranty for only $10 additional dollars over MSRP.

BTW, FYI all of these cards with do 1000mhz all day long at stock voltage with no increase to heat.

Basically from everytrhing i have read everyone is overclocking these cards way beyond stock and way beyond what the Black Edition even ships them at. I can see that i probably could have saved $50 a card and just OCed em, Oh well:p

Has anybody been willing to try those "new" customer coupon codes with a newegg order?

the HSF on the black edition should be better, how much so is anyone's guess. it sounds like [H] is going to have a review of it soon. anxiously waiting, Brent.

Yeah, but I'm hoping the cooling on the Black Edition is quieter than stock.

it actually appears that for sandwiched crossfire users such as myself the HSF on the black edition would actually be worse on the bottom card. O well, I won't be purchasing now.

FOOLS, we all know MSI's Lightning Edition is going to be superior....... In all reality i'm just jealous.
