In an attempt to tempt those in the market for an new GPU, Nvidia just launched the "RTX Triple Threat" game bundle with what may be the best RTX-enabled game to date. Nvidia's previous "Game On Bundle" gave buyers Battlefield V and Anthem for free, but starting today, anyone who buys a RTX 2080 or 2080 TI will get Metro Exodus as well. RTX 2070 and 2060 buyers will get to pick 2 of the 3 games, but sadly, the recently released 1660 TI isn't part of this particular bundle.

Pre-built desktops and laptops are covered by the deal as well, and the terms and conditions mention that the deal will be good until at least April 4, 2019. Several games that previously advertised RTX support still haven't received patches to enable it, while others are coming closer to release, so I suspect Nvidia will offer bundles with a larger variety of RTX-enabled games later this year. But, as we've noted, Metro Exodus is one of the best examples of Nvidia's raytracing and DLSS technology to date, and the developers are improving it with every update.

Nice. Was going to buy a 2080 this week anyway and I've wanted to play all 3. Only shame is I will likely have to download the Epic Launcher which I vowed not to do, but too tempting for the free game...

If the Metro Exodus code is for Epic I'll sell it or burn it.

I don't think it's possible to have a Steam code now so it's gotta be Epic. The game is great and I am really enjoying it. Too bad the publisher fucked up so bad, don't miss out on the game though. I have a Steam copy, yay!

I know it's an amazing game, and Deep Silver is a good-guy developer. But I'll never install Epic until their shady business practices and crazy EULA change. So I'll have to wait to play it on Steam, probably with a 3080 Ti.

Throw in a hefty trade in for 1080ti and 980ti then just maybe might consider it. Or my modding obsession somehow outpaces by 1080ti as it did with the 980ti.

I always wonder if sales are tapering off and that's why vendors start offering the bundles. Same with the fresh release bundles, does the hardware suck?

I bought mine the first month it came out, why don't I get any free shit. Fuck them.
If you contact the seller they should be able to get you a code if it was purchased in the last 90 days.

That said I can't even find one in stock to buy it here in Canada.

These bundle deals have been going on for a very long time. It’s a good way to both advertise a game and a way to get people to buy cards. I remember when Half-Life 2 was offered with cards (wanna way ATI) before that game even came out. The bundles are a win-win for everyone involved.

I am so friggen annoyed at this. I just bought 2 2080's three weeks ago and now Metro Exodus comes out as part of the bundle when I already had BF-V that I got over Xmas. Ugh...

This seems to be pretty standard practice for both nVidia and AMD, honestly. I don't know if it depends on sales numbers or what, but they always tend to offer something for free like a month after release.

If I can refuse the bundle and take the retail value of the games off the price of the cards I will be a buyer.

This is not really standard to me. Nvidia is finally doing this to move the cards I think instead of dropping the retail price. AMD needs it more because they really don't have much competition upper mid-range right now. So they have been doing the free games for a bit. its well known RTX cards haven't sold as well as nvidia liked.

I like AMD’s bundle better.

I liked what AMD did that one year where you got to select a game from a variety. I got lucky that I liked the current bundle so I got a Radeon VII.

Metro.... I never cared for Metro games. They should let us choose or even maybe a third the value off the card? $180 in games or $60 off. Some kind of choice would be nice.

There were quite a few bundles with Pascal and Maxwell cards in the past.

Pascal didn't have until later on I believe not as extensive as 3 game. My point is still legit, RTX cards didn't sell as well as nviida hoped, they even admitted it and now you have a 3 game bundle. So they are trying new things to move the cards.

My 2080 is fried. I'm returing it tomorrow to buy a 2080 Ti. I already redeemed my codes. Does this mean I get three new ones? Lol.

Yeah that's what I thought. The news post on Hard said something different so I wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything.
