1. I would purchase a motherboard, RAM, GPU, and PSU to build my son his first computer for Christmas. He's 5 years old, just started kindergarten, and has been really excited about having his own machine. I was planning on just having him help me put together an old Pentium III system but he would really enjoy something newer so he can play some cool games.
1. Will buy a new MB+RAM+Video card (8800gt)+PSU+CASE+ everything. I might be getting a job soon, so might have to move out. An I dont want to take my XP1900 desktop with me :'(.
1. I would finally be able to produce a respectable PPD.... the machines I can currently fold on are, well......we'll keep it nice here.....old and slow....
1.) I would probably jump for joy seeing as I've never won anything in my life! Now when I mean jump for joy, I'm not talking about winning the lottery jump for joy, but not too far off!!!
Then I would start the probably long process of saving for the rest of the parts needed to get a working computer.
1. I would get up and dance the gig, while singing top of my lungs "who let the dogs out"
hope over to new egg to start looking for the rest of my parts for my new gaming rig.Followed by a big email thanking them.
1) Build a new Shuttle HTPC/gaming box as my current shuttle doesn't support HD-DVD. Give the old Shuttle to my cousin since he has it more often than I do.
2) Phenom seems to be the majority, but anything would be better than Yorkfield
1. I would use it to build a family member a new machine since they are operating a business on a machine that is running in 1991 technology. Were talking old here folks
anyone remember ISA slots yea that old...
1. Drop it in my current rig to increase work and gaming power, and then push my 3800X2 to a file server with a new mobo and case from newegg.
2. Phenom
1. As a loyal AMD user - 4 rigs going all the time and more planned - I'd welcome the
opportunity to put AMD's lastest offering through its paces. I've never been
disappointed and always quite surprised. AMD is still #1 with me.
1) go to mars, climb mount everest, bring world peace, win all the nobel prizes, and finish with a trip to the grocery store, all thanks to my new 5000+ Black Edition.
1. First, I would run around my apartment screaming "Holy Shit I Won Something! " Then after recieving said prize, I would open it, put it on an altar, and burn incense around it, trying to whip up some mojo for money to afford to upgrade the rest of my computer to put it into. The gods will tremble at my almighty begging! Failing that, I would find some chick named Bonnie and change my name to Clyde and knock over a few banks! (well okay, maybe not.. but that doesn't sound as boring as saving up the cash )
1) Use it in a back-up rig in case my E6420 goes down ;-)
2) Phenom..obviously.
I love AMD, but my E6420 has been amazing. OC'd from 2.13 to 3.2Ghz, and only stopped because I hit my goal: 1:1 divider on G.Skill PC2-6400 1GHBZ (4-4-4-12), with under 1.425 vCore: http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=226449
39C on load...using an Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro.
