I don't like prequels either, but at this point I'd prefer a spinoff in the actual Milky Way galaxy set parallel to the trilogy than an Andromeda sequel. I'm really not that invested in finding out who created the angorians, oh wait that's a cat, I meant angarans.I'm absolutely dead set against prequels. I hate them. They are confined by the narrative of other games or films. Rarely do they explore anything meaningful enough to be of any real interest. I absolutely disagree that a prequel was the way to go vs. Andromeda as a setting. In fact, the vote on BioWare's forums agrees with me. Nearly no one wanted a prequel. Stories are far less impactful when you know how they turn out and that's what you always get with prequels. I think Andromeda as a setting has a fountain of potential. It's a good basis to move forward even if the first game was flawed.
And there were no characters of interest in Andromeda either, so I have zero wish to see any of them reappearing. About the only charismatic character in the game was the pathfinder who they kill off almost immediately.
Long story short I don't want Andromeda 2, unless it is set at least 50 years later than Andromeda 1, and has a brand new set of actually likeable characters.
