im thinking about buying this case but i have a couple questions first. has anyone had trouble with their PSUs and getting in the way of the fan at the bottom of the case? is it going to sound like a jet taking off if i fill the case with Scythe S-Flex 120mm 1200RPM fans everywhere except the side panel?
Here's my new build. It's almost finished.
I really liked the case but i want it with windows. Are you sure they would make windows for this model? Would they just sell the side cover or do you need to buy the whole case?
Did you make the hole bigger on the bottom to fit the psu wires through? I am having a hard time getting more than 3 wires through there from my Powerstream.
Ive placed a Coolermaster 4-in-3 module in my CM 690 for a "non-ghetto" extra front fan. Took some exercise to get it into the case, but it fits perfectly after all.
Can you provide any more details? I have a Stacker and the RC690. I've been considering moving the guts from my Stacker in the the 690.
Crotan I did the same thing. I couldn't stand the sound of a fan mounted on the side so I moved it to the front like you did. Temps stayed about the same but it is quite a bit quieter.
Whew!! Did you have to include the socks!
There's not much to say. The 4-in-3 module fits perfectly into the bays of the CM690. I attached a Scythe S-Flex fan to the 4-in-3 module with rubber grommets. The semi-ghetto mod with the metal brackets works okay but there was some resonance. IMHO this is a better solution for some extra (silent) cooling. Can you provide any more details? Well, you have to push on the right places to slide it in. I tried it with brute force, but my girlfriend looked at the situation, took a screwdriver, pushed on the right spot and the whole thing slid into the baysJust wanted to make sure. You said "it took some exercise."
Hacked up my CM690 today..

w00t. Me and my Dad took it outside and chopped it up. A little nasty around the edges but it was a quick jigsaw job, and we knew it'd be covered up.
Wow. After looking at that module again I've had the profound idea to relocate my hard drives in one.
If someone were to watercool, they'd have the whole bottom corner open.
