Yeah, it's normal. You get the V8 as part of the story, which then unlocks the second tier of engines (each actual upgrade requires various things though)

Just curious....
I just got to the Pink Eye settlement place and my car and max are basically fully upgraded. The only part of the car that is lacking is the engine.
Is this normal? Or was I too much of a completionist on the way lol
I played through it in "one" sitting". To clarify that, I started it, then enjoyed it enough to keep playing until I was done. This one is in my backlog, but I do have it installed on my main rig and I'm thinking that I might start it up soon.
How do you guys think it would run for me? (see sig)
Is a controller practically a requirement??
Should run well on a potato. TPU got over 60 FPS at 1920x1080 and 40 FPS at 2560x1440 on a GTX 960 with highest in-game settings. Your CPU may be a bottleneck, though. How do you guys think it would run for me? (see sig)

i've had this installed forever and haven't ever ran it, will definitely pick up at some point
I got just about 90 hours out of the game
I clocked in 47 hours on Mad Max
I had to kill everything that I saw. I think I finished it without getting the last car upgrade or something though.FWIW, it took me 28 hours to finish. Did a lot of the side stuff but didn't grind for upgrades after finishing the game. I don't see it actually having 50+ hours of unique content, it'd just be driving around fighting random guys at that point.
This game really is a lot of fun. Characters are great, Chum especially. Does get a bit grindy though, I feel like there should be less of that and more story. No complaints though!
This reply aged like milk.Looking forward to see what the dev does with RAGE 2, that trailer was boss.
It was down to $3.50 three years ago, so slightly underwhelming price, but it is still worth $5 for sure. Maybe one day I'll go back and replay it. Honestly I'd just prefer a sequel, though. Now on GOG for $5. The price lasts until April 5, when it goes up to $20.

Not really. RAGE 2 was great for me.This reply aged like milk.
The price isn't noteworthy but the fact that it's on GOG without DRM might be for some, especially since it uses Denuvo and requires connection to a server to run(that has already gone a down a couple times that I'm aware of). For $5 I'm thinking of picking it up just to avoid running into that issue again. It was down to $3.50 three years ago, so slightly underwhelming price, but it is still worth $5 for sure.
