AMD Socket M2:
A few sources are telling us that they have the new AMD socket "M2" CPUs up and running in test labs all over the world that hit in the 2.4 to 2.6GHz range. The new socket M2 is a 940-pin CPU that carries with it a new integrated DDR2-667 memory controller. First thoughts are that these CPUs seem to be very solid with their new DDR2 legs. Hopefully we will be able to report back to you on the overclockability of the new memory controllers and CPUs soon.
As it stands now, look for AMD's new socket M2 to make its debut in late January or February.

I honestly thought the soonest we were going to see the M2 was going to be April(and then some...), but if the M2 is to be out in 3-4 months, I might just put off my upgrade for now
Looking forward to seeing some benchies.
(afterall benchies are so much more exciting than actually USING a computer)
