Leaked AMD Ryzen Benchmarks?

You aren't writing complete sentences or using the correct words in many places on your long ass rambling paragraphs. I honestly can't pin down what you're trying to say, like here:

This goes back to your comment on why older AMD CPU products can go 220 watts or more on older nodes well because they were made to, you can still increase power draw if you stabilize the temperature of the chip and because of this don't need to increase voltage, better cooling is what is needed (doesn't work all the time because there are limits there too), Ryzen most likely will not be capable of that because it wasn't made to go that high because of node (which is well demonstrated with Pascal and Polaris on 14nm nodes) and its architecture, if it requires AIO to have base clocks of 4.0 ghz.

This is exactly where you said this node and architecture won't be able to sustain high power draws north of 95watts without exotic cooling (at an implied 1.35v since that's where you st).

You aren't even reading what I'm stating correctly, and I highly suspect English as a second language is a barrier here. Or wherever you are on the other side of the international date line failed to teach you effective writing skills.

Anytime any company has introduced "awesome" new coolers or AIO's or double slot cooling, have you seen those solutions not being needs?

Lets see FX series by nV, wraith cooler by AMD, AIO on FIji. Do you remember the P4 coolers, and how beefy they were on the extreme processors?

If you think that statement is incorrect, I can show you Intel chips and power draw and what temperature does to power draw, or can you find that information yourself?

You're switching to "I am all knowing, and you know nothing" but that doesn't change the fact that you literally had no idea that an i7 die is 2.5x times larger than the number you snagged onto, then extrapolated 40% of an iGPU out of to show Intel profits. How anyone with an education and an understanding of modern x86 processors could make that mistake is far too glaring to ignore. Especially when you throw buzzwords at the beginning of sentences then you, yourself, fail to provide specifics.

Show me a purchase agreement with this kind of kick-back written into it. I see small margin changes, but nothing large even at 500+ PCs in one order.

If you increase the base clocks above 4 ghz, its going to boost up to 4.4 ghz + XFR, and now the 95 + makes sense

AMD's chips will stick to their TDP maximums unless you have better cooling. So the rumor with the X chips are they come with wraith coolers, those are stuck at the 95 watt max base clocks at 3.6 with the wraith.

How much more cooling can top end air coolers give, the best I've seen is 15% better on core temps, yeah they will be maxing at around 4 ghz for base clocks

It doesn't say anything about "AIO" or "not air" it only states "good cooling". I have an air cooler that can handle twice as much TDP dissipation as the stock boost is rated for... your response?

And also, the limitation if you followed up with more careful reading was due to a poor VRM setup on a pre-production motherboard, not the chip itself having heat issues. (EDIT: referring to Buildzoid and CanardPC link)

What about the single threaded performance?

The leak came from a system builder, Boost Boxx, they used a motherboard without boosting capabilities.

As far as synthetics go, Physics is important as its testing game like physics simulations so that should also factor in single thread performance quite a bit.

Integer math is multi threaded dependent, and that should be good for Ryzen.

Prime numbers the amount of data needed, shuffling between the memory and cpu is going to be an issue with the memory type used, not sure if its the memory or motherboard (cause we don't know what are the requirements of Ryzen when it comes to memory) or just something not so good with Ryzen when it comes to memory, AMD in the past has had these issues with memory too.

Yes the IMC was not very good in Bulldozer. It is improved in Ryzen, but it still may need more work. I did notice the Asus ROG Crosshair VI Hero allows for DDR4 3200 and 32 GB in 2 16 Gb modules of G.Skill with tight timings is sitting on top of my new case waiting for motherboard and cpu. But the fact that motherboard will accept it doesn't tell you it will make any difference with Ryzen IMC. IF 2400MHZ is the practifal limit of the Ryzen IMC I will downclock it and tighten the timings quite a bit on already tight timing in the modules. Cas latency on my modules is 14, so I may wind up going down to 12 if after testing I get little improvement in performance at 3200.

It could just be the bug they had in previous spins and the microcode needs to be updated though, so just have to wait and see.

I know there has been quite a bit changes to their IMC, but things like that its hard for companies to just roll out a product with that problem.

Yes they are not good enough for overclocking. You need a high end Noctua, Thermalright Silver Arrow, or a CoolerMaster Air Maker 8 to do some real overclocking. Perhaps the wraith may permit 100mhz uptick.
 
- IPC is at the least Ivy Bridge-E and higher
- SMT for Ryzen is more efficient then Intel's HyperThreading
- Ryzen has no cold Bug
- Cinebench R15 hits 145 single thread @ 3.4GHz on ES, earlier models hit 130-140, retails should hit 140-150
- Most Ryzen ES samples hit 4.3-4.5GHz MAX on Air with all core enabled
- Intel is testing out Skylake-X, and beats out current 6950X with 8C/16T because it can hit higher clocks.

Well the wraith will be the base cooler for the X chips those are the ones that have a max boost of 4.0 ghz. So lets say you want to have a base of 4.0ghz, you need a cooler that can do 15%, maybe more cause more TDP, that is what the article is saying. Yeah if you turn the fan speed up you will get a bit more, but as you stated not much more.

Most of those coolers max out at 150 TDP don't they?

An hour long video with Joker is nigh unbearable for me to watch. And nothing they stated was first hand.

Well the wraith will be the base cooler for the X chips those are the ones that have a max boost of 4.0 ghz. So lets say you want to have a base of 4.0ghz, you need a cooler that can do 15%, maybe more cause more TDP, that is what the article is saying. Yeah if you turn the fan speed up you will get a bit more, but as you stated not much more.

Per the Noctua TDP guide for various existing platforms, the cooler I have is rated up to 220W on AM3+ because of the 9590 it can be used with. In fact, even some of their midsized coolers can handle that much! That's a 131.5% higher TDP rating than the 1800X! And 95 watts higher than the current Wraith cooler is rated for!
 
I've not watched any of these videos but I'm by genuinely curious as to how contrived and obfuscated the 'leak' or implication must have been to cause such lengthy debate about what was said.

As for the thermodynamics of cpu cooling, coolers are rated for power dissipation based on a pretendermined temperature delta.

A 140mm radiator may be good for 500w with 30c delta but only 60w with a 3c delta

The higher the temperature is, the higher the power draw is all things being equal.

Conversely, power draw is reduced if temperature is reduced, all things being equal

In case you didn't already ignore me. I went back and rewatched from your timestamp, and I realized why I didn't see your points made by them in the video. They stated 4.0-4.3ghz AIO OC, which in that same sentence he specifies as "overclock".

That directly contradicts your claims of "base" clock numbers, and leads me to believe they have bad info or info based on ES's.

An architecture limitation... which is totally unrelated to Ryzen.

he didn't get its wasn't an architectural limitation, it was limitation of node lol, one look at the where the voltages were on Fiji, a seeing eye dog could see it was pushed well above where it should have been at....

architecture lead to the node voltage max. Not hard at all to see.

Lets see what happens with Ryzen. Sounds to me something along those lines, just not as severe, the AIO's are introduced to stay competitive with Intel.... and that is what Enthusiasts would need to with Ryzen.

What is the next excuse, the architecture made AMD push the clocks up, made them recommend AIO's lol, yeah ok. Ridiculous. can't even watch a 40 sec clip by hitting the play button, that specifically states if overclocking to 4.0 to 4.3 base clocks its likely to need an AIO.

Its like I need to get a baby spoon and start feeding with that, maybe worse, a teat replica like in meet the fockers.
