Late Night Hunt Showdown Streaming

Just got out of one of the most entertaining games ever with rgMekanic that was truly fun stuff. I laughed so much I could not see any more. First time ever. And I even went back and resurrected him.
 
By far my favorite thing about the game....some folks have issue with this.

Death and its consequences: When you run out of health (hit points), you will be incapacitated. If you cannot be revived, you will die. In Hunt: Showdown, death is permanent. When you die in a mission, you lose that Hunter character, as well as any traits and equipment they were using, forever.
 
Just played two sessions with my daughter and had a blast. Damn spiders.

It can be a big difference, built up hunters can add health bars (which you dont get back for certain events like burning or etc) and traits that help massively. For weapons though and in general, a newb hunter is not at a large disadvantage, weapons are random, everyone is sort of in the same boat. I like the revolver thats belt fed and a double barrel myself. I skip the extra weapons like machete or something because you can pick them up in game. I had some really good rounds yesterday which was cool, when the servers didnt screw up. If you can find a decent teammate it can be so much fun. Communication!
 
Is it just me, or is like 500 hours of "waiting" and 60 hours of actual gaming?

Generally for me, it takes about 8 minutes to get in game once you decide to invite or go random. My games last anywhere from 10 minutes to over an hour depending how things work out.
 
Tried watching but got super bored after a few minutes. Not for me.

Also, what's that annoying circle jumping all over the screen?

Significantly. A seasoned hunter can have double a newbie's health pool and much stronger weapons--including silencers and one-shot rifles.

That said, the basic kit can be wielded with stunning deadliness meaning *if* by some reason you are matched against seasoned hunters you will be at a disadvantage but it can be overcome with strategy and skill.

Apparently I killed him somehow. Not even sure what happened. I thought he quit the game, but at the end of the game I got -500XP.
 
I have to get up at like 3:30 to go kill chinooks but F it I’m in, firing up the comp!

Online in one minute, after restart, this Samsung 4K is the way to go but sometimes it doesn’t go fullscreen correctly!

Last night I had some good games, got out with the bounty, killed some folks that killed by pardner. My buddy ended up getting shot on the way out, I ran like a mother for the opposite extraction making noise the whole way (and sneaking intermittently) to draw them that way, then doubled back and made it to a revive. Dude was AFK so I had to shoot and shit to make him wake up, that was around 30-40 minutes after he died. Dude, you are LEGEND! We made it out, it was fantastic. Never saw the other player, guessing he got into some mobs and died or left.

So yeah, not hiding in bushes for an hour, that match was probably 90 minutes and I was mobile most of the time.

The FailSpawner was at it again tonight wrecking some faces. You should get a round in with him Kyle. Hunt Showdown has to be one of my favorite shooters in a while.

Yeah, shooting your teammate and reviving once makes sense in that I guess, but shooting you again does nothing but get them closer to -500XP.

I can't do twitch games - I'm on the dark side of 50, and when I stopped pulling my weight I had to hang it up. The only esport I've watched is World of Tanks. My go-to games are Fallout, Far Cry, Dishonored, Borderlands, Dying Light and Witcher, so you can get an idea of what I play these days. Kyle started posting these night time Hunt linke and I ignored them, and ignored them, and ignored them, and then I watched a couple a few days ago and I'm fascinated. I hope I can get a new video card before release, this looks like the kind of mental PvP I could handle.
 
Anyone know how to block Twitch streams using Ghostery or Stylebot (I don't think Stylebot will do it)?

I can appreciate Kyle's love for the game and wanting to promote it simply for the sake of getting more people into the game so that it continues to be developed, etc... but my poor Cellular connection can't take it :p

It's usually a case of checking the site, getting distracted by a message over Trillian, an then glancing at Task manager (I leave the minimized performance tab open) to see tons of bandwidth going down the drain. *insert Pac-Man death tune*

You could always click pause.
 
Damn, this game is just as fun when you lose....almost....as when you win.
