I'm surprised there isn't a thread about this already, no one playing this and/or wants to talk about it!? Played for a few hours this weekend in between a few other things - really enjoying the combat, far more than its predecessors. With the flowmotion (being able to zip around from object to object; not new to this particular entry) and the constant slew of special moves that pop up throughout combat, it's a visual feast for the eyes. Audio is fantastic as well, lots of orchestral themes and playful assorted combat noises, much like we're used to, but dialed up. Not forgetting to mention the fantastic voice cast, lot of industry veterans coming back to reprise their roles.
I think it's fine to jump into if you haven't played any of the other ones, it does a semi-decent job of recapping through cinematics, but you won't understand some of the humor/commentary at times. If you're into Disney and over zealous Final Fantasy-style antagonists, with hack/slash combat on top, you can't go wrong.
Deluxe physical edition comes with a little art book and steelbook case for anyone interested.
